Why can’t my app match the smart lock?

Check power (≥80% battery), Wi-Fi (2.4GHz), Bluetooth (enabled + permissions), and try a factory reset (hold pairing button for 5s + admin password).

How long can the battery last after it is fully charged? How can I unlock it if it runs out of power?

About 6 months depending on usage(Frequent use of the video function will accelerate the power consumption). If the battery is dead, you can use the physical key to enter, or use the emergency charging port for temporary charging

How can I verify that smart lock is properly installed?

Your smart lock is properly installed if the latch works smoothly, the lock feels secure, biometric functions (fingerprint, password) work, and Wi-Fi is stable for remote control and camera viewing.

Is a gateway required?

No.Built-in WiFi without bridge. No additional fees.

What are the requirements for installation?

Please check the compatibility infographic above for specific requirements.Door thickness: 1.38″ – 2.17″(35-55 mm), backset: 2.36″(60 mm) or 2.76″ (70 mm).Not compatible with mortise locks.

3-in-1 Integrated Security System: The Devo smart security system seamlessly integrates three core components: a biometric fingerprint door lock, an FHD camera with dual laser infrared night vision, and an adjustable-volume video doorbell. This eliminates the need for multiple devices, providing 24/7 surveillance through a single smart door lock with camera — simplifying home security day and night.
Human Detection & 2-Way Audio: Equipped with infrared and millimeter wave radars, the Devo deadbolt smart lock detects activity near your door. If abnormal loitering or prolonged presence is detected, the system immediately sends real-time alerts to your device. Combined with 2-way audio functionality, users can remotely communicate and verify identities, ensuring both security and convenience.
6 Flexible Unlocking Methods: This smart locks for front door offers 6 access options: fingerprint recognition, mobile app control, voice commands (via Amazon Alexa/Google Assistant), keypad codes, IC cards, and physical keys. Its self-learning AI chip continuously improves fingerprint recognition accuracy for faster authentication.
Wi-Fi Connectivity & App Management: This electronic door lock features built-in Wi-Fi (no additional gateway required), the smart deadbolt lock pairs with the TUYA app for full remote control. Users can lock/unlock doors, manage user members, receive real-time notifications, create temporary passwords, review access logs, enable vacation mode, and monitor battery status. Low-battery alerts ensure timely recharging.
Long Battery Life and Weather Resistance: Powered by a 10,000mAh removable lithium battery (180-day lifespan per charge), the WiFi door lock includes a Type-C emergency charging port. With IP65 waterproof certification and tolerance for extreme temperatures (5°F to 122°F), it withstands harsh weather conditions.
Quick Installation & Support: The door lock with code is compatible with most standard American and Canadian door bolts, installation requires no drilling and takes under 15 minutes, while the built-in voice guidance provides step-by-step assistance for function settings. The keypad door lock comes with a 12-month warranty and 24/7 email support.

    Smart lock and camera system!
I put this lock on the front door and kept the app control for access, so I didn’t have to carry keys on my daily walks. The fingerprint reader consistently recognized my print which only took a second more than checking a code. The camera feed was clear through the app; I could see instantly who was outside without walking to the door. So useful in today’s world!

BEWARE YOUR PRIVATE INFO IS STORED IN ANOTHER COUNTRY
I originally considered this my favorite among the DEVO smart locks—but I have updated this review and lowered the rating to 3 stars due to serious privacy concerns.🔐 FUNCTIONALLY — Still a Great LockLet me first say: the mechanical and setup aspects of this lock are excellent. It’s easy to install, the voice prompts are clear and helpful, and the fingerprint and keypad setup went smoothly (especially when not trying to record it on video!). I recommend doing all your programming before installation, as it’s easier that way.It claims to require 8 AA batteries, but I confirmed it works fine on just 4. My theory is that the battery pack is wired in a series-parallel configuration—two sets of 4 batteries in series (6V each), connected in parallel for increased capacity. This likely doubles the amp-hour rating without changing the voltage. Running it on only 4 batteries may reduce lifespan between changes, but I’ve had the same set in for over 6 months with no issues. Probably because I never connected WiFi or Bluetooth, which reduces power consumption significantly.I’d still prefer this lock used a rechargeable lithium-ion pack, but if using AAs, I suggest Energizer Ultimate Lithium for best performance and longevity.🚫 PRIVACY WARNING: Read Before You Install the AppHere’s the dealbreaker for many users (myself included):This lock works with two available smartphone apps, but both apps are from the same company, and both route your data through servers located in another country. This includes:Your access codesYour fingerprint dataYour locationUnlock and lock timestampsIf you connect the lock to WiFi or Bluetooth via the app, all of this information is collected and stored. Whether or not you consider that acceptable is up to you—but I personally refuse to allow WiFi access to a lock that holds sensitive security data and biometric information. There is no technical reason why Bluetooth setup should require WiFi, but this lock appears to force you to connect both. That’s a red flag. The Chinese government has a long-standing reputation for surveillance—not just of its own citizens but also foreign users of smart devices. For this reason, I never installed the app and have no intention of doing so.✅ FINAL THOUGHTSIf you’re using this as a standalone lock, programmed locally and never connected to the internet, it works very well. Battery life is good, setup is straightforward, and the overall construction is solid. But if you plan to use WiFi or app-based control, be fully aware that your private data may be stored overseas, including your fingerprints and access patterns. That concern alone is why I’ve reduced my rating to 3 stars, despite this being my favorite DEVO lock in terms of build quality and design.

Nice smart lock. You MUST set an administrator password when setting it up, though!
Got this because my back door doesn’t actually have a deadbolt, and I wanted some extra security while also letting neighbors or family in while I was gone. I haven’t actually installed it yet because it’s been a bit too cold, but I did sit down with it on the table so I could figure out how it worked, and I’m actually pretty impressed. I’m fairly picky about my smart devices, and there are some things with this lock I really like. So, for what I like:The overall design is pretty nice. It’s a fairly standard lock design, but it’s executed well. The exterior housing is metal, which is nice– it won’t prevent somebody with a hammer from smashing it, but it looks nice and will stand up to weather better than plastic would.I like that the batteries are pretty easy to remove (because since this connects to WiFi instead of using something like Zigbee or Zwave, I expect it’ll go through batteries a couple times a year). The reset button is located under the battery compartment cover. That prevents somebody from just sliding a piece of wire under your door and pressing the button.RFID tag keys – this is really why I wanted to get this. I want to be able to hand somebody a tag, and know that they can’t just run to the local hardware store and copy it. RFID can be cloned, but it takes equipment most people don’t have. You can run this in local mode, without using the app or connecting it to a network. Local mode means you can’t remotely unlock it, or hand out temporary passcodes, but it also means somebody can’t get into your WiFi network and use a vulnerability to command your lock to open. Is anyone likely to do that? Probably not, but the possibility is there, and local mode means it can’t happen. What I don’t like:You MUST set an administrator password when setting this up. If you don’t, it will open for any fingerprint or RFID card that comes close to it. I would have preferred that it would “fail-safe” and reject all access requests before an administrator password was set, since it’s easy to assume setup can be finished later.Overall, I’m pretty happy with this, and I’m looking forward to getting it installed on my back door, just as soon as the weather cooperates!
