Worked well cutting holes in the fiberglass swim platform on my boat. Lasted significantly longer than other blades I’ve used in the past.

Cutting aluminum, these are what you need.
As other say it does cut 1/4″ aluminum plate well. Not something I want to do everyday but they do work and last.

It cuts through aluminum fine. But it does clog up pretty quickly. you can use a small puch to push out the alu clogs.

It works, but the teeth are too large for fiberglass expect chipping.

Great bits for cutting aluminum plates.
I purchased these bits so hat i could cut some 1/4″ 6061 aluminum plates.WOW, they worked so much better than the standard “metal” bits that you can buy at your local big box. I highly suggest for both aluminum an fiberglass as they will save you time and additional bits for your project. Bits last longer than expected as well.

DEWALT DW3755-5 4-Inch 8 TPI Aluminum/Fiberglass Cut Cobalt Steel T-Shank Jig Saw Blade (5-Pack)
Bought this as a replacement for Bosch T101BF blade for economic reasons. This blade was used to cut .125″ thick G10 fiberglass .It did not survive the first cut of 12″.This blade might work on plastic ,It appears to be made of an aluminum alloy. I put in a Bosch blade and finished the project. These Bosch blades will in my experience if you keep them cool will do a 100 feet or more of G 10

Do the job well.
I had to cut some 1/8 aluminum and these blades did the job great… Just a hint, if you are like me and have a j-saw that has a setting for reciprocal, use it, the blades cut a lot better and make the job go a lot faster.

I had tried a *normal* blade to cut some aluminum and it clogged up quickly. I bought these and they remained free and cutting. It was for a single project so I don’t have any longevity info. Recommended.

Maybe a bad batch , the T connector shaped off on half them and it was like the metal was softer than the ones I had purchased in the past, the teeth wore off withing cutting a few inches and I’ve had these before without issues on cutting same materials. Dewalt usually has decent stuff.

Cuts aluminum well but not so well with Fiberglass. The Fiberglass tends to melt the teeth.
