THE CAMERAThe design is first rate, with a real Grown Up feel. The interface is easy to use and interact with, perhaps more so than the more child-like UI on a camera designed for a much younger age group.If a child’s first camera is one of the very chunky, Fisher-Price style take-all-of-the-knocks cameras, this feels like the next step up. If you want your youngster to revel in the joy of play, curiousity and the world, this is perfect. It looks the part, has a real feel for ‘growing up’, and herein lies a perfect catalyst for falling in love with photography.Smartphones may come further years down the line, but if your instinct is to fire up the creative spirit, this is perfect.On the afternoon I did my testing, I was in a beautiful local park. A number of butterflies were flying around me, I spoke to them, they fizzed off in varying directions. I said to the closest one, “Maybe I’ll see you a little further down the track.”A few minutes later one of them landed near me, and I took photos. Thanked them for their courtesy and colours, complimenting the sunniest day with a gorgeous, subtle breeze.It was at that point I imagined how that would fire the imagination and spirit of a child. Their connection with the world, of nature, telling their Mum and Dad, inspiring the next adventure and going to school and telling their friends.PICTURES1. Regular shot, 2. Zoomed in. 3. Zoomed further.Admittedly these are not the super finessed, ultra detailed pictures you might get with a more expensive camera, but it doesn’t need to be. This is about the joy of capture, the adventure, making memories. The near painterly quality – particularly with the zoom – adds a little something special of its own.

Good size for small hands and easy to use. The pictures come out clear, and the flash works well indoors. My 8-year-old had so much fun with it and discovered a new passion for photography. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Very pleased. Would recommend.

It looks (and feels) like a really high quality pocket-sized camera with a 2.8-inch screen, so it’s easy to carry around and use for everyday photos and videos.The camera is quite easy to use, with autofocus and digital image stabilization, so you can handle things like birthday parties or sports events without any major issues. It has 18x optical zoom and a 64 MP maximum webcam image resolution, so you can get close up shots or use it as a webcam for video calls. The Type-C cable makes transferring photos to your computer quick and simple, and the automatic exposure control means you don’t have to fiddle with settings to get good results.The only thing to watch is that it’s currently unavailable, so you might have to wait if you really want one. But for the price, it’s a really solid choice in my opinion for teens or beginner adults who want to step up from smartphone photography and is good value for money. Would have been nice to have a few more manual controls, but you can’t have everything. :DTo be honest, it’s not the fanciest camera out there, but, for the price, it’s a really great choice in my opinion for anyone who wants something simple, portable, and easy to use and is good value for money. Ultimately, if you want a camera that is quite durable, pretty easy to use, this is a good choice and honestly the perfect choice for a beginner.
