    Expensive, but works as advertised.
I bought this because it was speced out on a cabinet job I was doing. Otherwise I would have just wired up my own unit at a fraction of the cost. But for the ultra safety conscious person this unit is a must-have. The articulated arm pretty much guarantees that the wire will never fray and short. And the heat detector built into the unit is a really good idea, though it’s difficult for me to imagine a situation where it would come into play. If I had an application for this product where I was the one specifying what was being used, I’d give the client the option of using this unit. If it were for myself I don’t think I would use it due to his expensive it is.The unit was easy to install and one worry I had was that the articulating arm carrying the power cord would mess with the soft-close mechanism on the drawer guides which was not the case. It’s a well built very well designed unit.

    Definitely does the job
Neat and simple design, Unit just plugs in to another socket behind cabinets. A bit pricey, but not much else around that has the same thermal cutout feature.

Every high-end bathroom needs these in the drawers
Worked perfectly in a bathroom remodel. The hairdryers and hair curlers stay permanently plugged into the drawer to keep things neat and clean.

Great device for clutter free vanity
I bought this for my new vanity to store my hair dryer & curl iron in a drawer just after use. No no cords dangling from the wall. The space behind the drawer is 2″ which is the minimum to use this outlet. You must make sure the mounting arm is not in the way of the drawer glides or the outlet that this plugs into. It’s expensive, but I will out to good use. I will be getting the Blade Duo for a power drawer in the kitchen

Computer doesn’t have to live on kitchen counter
I designed a computer drawer to hide my computer when not in use. It’s a great solution if done in the design phase. Otherwise I think it would be pretty complicated. An expensive solution either way

I had these installed in a bathroom vanity drawer. The electrician checked them out and they are approved for use in a closed drawer. However The arm at the back takes up quite a bit of space behind the drawer and almost couldn’t fit it in. Ended up putting in a bottom drawer to avoid hitting the drain plumbing. Also very expensive!
