decent product, but I’m not sure its a good value
I have a 10 year old cat, who is still very much active and I got this in anticipation of her needing it in a few years. I thought I’d “get ahead of the curve” with training her to use it.She knows its there, appears as though she is contemplating using it, then she just jumps on or off the bed without using it. We have put her on it and utilized treats to get her to walk up the stairs and stuff, and while she uses it during those times, she hasn’t actually attempted under normal circumstances.But, that’s not the products fault, though it has a few.First, it come compacted in a roll and will require a time period to fully expand–the company says 24 hours, but it probably doesn’t take that long.Dimensions are roughly accurate–mine comes in at 16″H x 16″W x 22″L–definitely not anything to be griping about.Although, truth be told, I would actually prefer it to be slightly taller–from the top of the stairs to the top of my mattress is about 6 inches…not hard for my cat now, but in a few years, who knows? But, maybe I should worry if the stairs will last that long instead…but I don’t see an issue with this either.Because it’s a ‘memory foam’ type item, there is a chemical smell associated with it upon unwrapping. This seems to have dissipated rather quickly (or I got used to it), because I do not smell it anymore.The material on the outside is decent–it’s not too scratchy, nor doesn’t appear to be too soft. In short, it’s unremarkable. It does zip on and off if you need to clean it.The product pages touts it as being ‘anti-slip’, but that’s not been the case for me. There are some rubberized extrusions on the bottom of the product, but they do not provide ‘anti-slip’ qualities on the laminate floor in my room. It might be somewhat anti-slip on a rug or a carpeted floor. I imagine an anti-slip mat would work if it were of supreme importance for me.Aside from those *very minor* issues, this seems to be a good product. It’s lightweight, so if someone in the home is of the elderly persuasion, they should not have any trouble moving this around (there is a sewn in grab handle on the tall side of the stairs).But, it’s listed for about $31 at the time of this writing, and there are other options available which are taller and roughly the same price.I’m sure my cat will eventually get the idea and find it quite helpful.

Needs some improvement
I wanted to love this but….. First off this is nice and light making it easy to move locations. Size is great for a couch but not for a high sitting bed. I question its sturdiness as i feel any pet weighing more than 10 lbs might sink into the fabric. I did test this on my old lady cat who seemed very cautious to climb this in which she did but i think it didnt have deep enough steps cause i think she was worried about slipping. Personally there are far better pet steps/ramps out there for better prices.

Great for small/medium pets
Nice stairs, perfect for small/medium dogs to get on and off the bed or couch. Easy to clean, just unzip the bottom and take off the cover and put in the washer. Great for older pets or pets with joint or back problems.
