Fits Perfectly. Saved Me About $1,800
I tried a less a less expensive brand of this part first. The wiring harness couldn’t attach, and the round end of the sensor was too wide to fit onto the compressor. The Dorman fit perfectly, and my ac works again.I have a 2011 Toyota Sienna XLE. A local shop had told me I needed a new compressor. Replacing the sensor is difficult. The original part is hard to remove, and there’s very little room for your hands unless you do some disassembly. But for me it was well worth the effort.

The old one was very tough to get out, but the sensor fixed the AC problem. It seems well made, and now I have cold air again!

Fits 2017 Camry LE
Replacing this sensor is easier and far cheaper than replacing the compressor, which is the usual repair shop recommendation. I took off one star because it does not come with a replacement snap ring.1) Getting the OEM sensor out is well-known to be a major PITA — expect it to take you 1-3 hours to just remove the old one. I was able to remove it w/o removing radiator or any hoses, working from above. I had to use a Dremel tool to fragment the old sensor sufficiently to be able to chisel it out with a long screw-driver. Be careful to not perforate the compressor when doing so. If you go slow and are gentle, you’ll be OK. You may need to file down the diameter of a pin on one side of your snap-ring pliers, because the snap-ring holes are different size, with one-side being smaller than usual.2) This does NOT come with a replacement snap-ring, so be careful not to damage or lose the snap-ring you are removing. Tip: tie a thread or fishing line through one of the snap-ring holes once you have it out, so you don’t lose it upon trying to put it back in…it will take 3-10 tries before you are successful.3) I did not have to carve down the shoulder of the sensor to get it to fit, as others have reported; I also greased the sensor body with dielectric grease before putting it back in, to hopefully make it easier to remove, if I have to do this again.

NOT easy to remove old: 2014 Sienna
2014 Sienna V6. Give yourself a good long afternoon and a case of beer. A 6 pack won’t be enough. As some others have noted, it is NOT always easy to remove the old sensor. Ended up picking / swearing / using a rotary tool to slowly chip away to get the old part out…it did not just wiggle out after removing the C clip. And about that clip…holes are different sizes, and one is smaller than any clip pliers I had. Had to remove fan assembly, to access, which meant temporarily disconnecting top radiator hose, air intake, and coolant overflow tank (relatively easy). Maybe 3 hours to get out, only 20 mins to reassemble everything. Used a wee bit of dielectric grease before reinserting sensor. AC working again. Hope it lasts.

Fixed my AC issue on my 2012 Toyota Highlander. I was getting an error 79 through the HVAC diagnostics which indicated an AC flow sensor issue. Once the sensor was replaced, the AC worked properly.
