I was looking for a robo-vacuum to help keep my space clean, especially considering how lazy I am.Setting up the vacuum was extremely easy. You just need to download the app and turn it on. They even provide QR codes for every step, so you don’t have to manually search for or enter any information.The app provides so much functionality. You can customize the cleaning experience for anything you could possibly want. This was extremely important to me since I have some rugs that I wouldn’t want to use the mop functionality on. The auto-mapping process works amazingly and it’s nice that you have additional capabilities to set up virtual barriers or zones right in the app. I’ve been able to set up some zones where I have carpet and others hardwood.The vacuum and mop are super efficient. It picks up everything off the floor and doesn’t leave any streaks. If you find that the suction isn’t enough, the app has the ability to increase the suction.It’s super easy to use and works well. I highly recommend this product.

Smart robot vacuum
This is our first robot vacuum. I’ve been looking at the tech for a while. Setting it up was super easy, and the user guide made it all clear. The robot picked up the layout of my home really quickly, I can control it through an app, set cleaning schedules, and even check on its progress in real time. I LOVE how it adjusts to different floors, whether it’s hardwood or carpet, and changes the suction power automatically. It always gives a solid clean no matter what surface it’s on. The vacuuming mode is also really quiet, so I don’t have to worry about it waking my baby up. The AI obstacle avoidance is top-notch too, making sure it avoids anything in its way without getting stuck. My floors have never looked better. The vacuum-mopping robot is an achievement that is really very helpful. I recognize that the price of is a lot to spend but the benefit of spending money on a quality product means that it should last you for years

he DEEBOT X9 PRO OMNI works well overall. Cleaning performance is excellent, and after lowering the water output, it no longer leaves any water stains. Floors come out clean across both tile and wood surfaces. The hardware feels premium and well-designed.However, the app experience limits the full potential of this unit — especially in open-concept homes like mine. Here’s where improvements are needed:🧭 Room Mapping & Subdivision:Hard to subdivide open spaces: In my condo, the kitchen, dining area, living room, and entry are all connected. Mapping them as separate rooms is difficult.No cleaning path overlay during editing: It would help to see where the robot has cleaned while subdividing or adjusting areas — currently it’s guesswork.Difficult to define obstacles like kitchen islands when you can’t see where it has or hasn’t cleaned.🚧 Manual Boundaries:It would be useful to have the option to pause the robot during mapping and manually mark boundaries. Alternatively, users should be able to place temporary markers (like painter’s tape — similar to methods used with portable CNC machines) to define areas such as kitchen islands or thresholds without trial and error.🚪 Advanced Remapping Feature:Once the main map is built, it would be great to isolate specific rooms (e.g., by closing a door or blocking off the area) and remap them more precisely as distinct zones within a larger space.💾 Map Backups & Restore:If you accidentally mess up a map while editing or merging, there’s no reliable restore feature. I’ve had to redo entire maps from scratch. Please add manual map save slots or backups.💻 Desktop or Web Access:It would be amazing to edit maps on a desktop computer using a mouse and ruler tools. This would help with precise subdivision in irregular or open areas.🧠 Suggested Smart Features:A way to pause cleaning when a threshold or room transition is reached to allow manual input (like marking a threshold or boundary).Better visualization tools in Edit Mode — for example, allow past cleaning coverage or boundaries to be shown as a background layer.Conclusion:Hardware is fantastic. Cleaning is efficient, and the mopping feature works well. The app has potential but needs serious upgrades to make full use of the mapping capabilities — especially for open-concept condos or more complex floor layouts.

I have a 1600sq.ft. rancher that is 85% hardwood. The other 15% being 3 carpet throw rugs for the doors to the outside and tile in the bathrooms. I also have no pets. First of all it mapped the whole house within 10 mins without issue. I then set the unit to vacuum and mop at the same time. I also put the suction on “quite mode” because hardwood floors vacuum easily and don’t need high suction (this also extends the battery life). I also set it to ramp up suction automatically when it detects that it is on the carpets for the doors. Carpets need way more suction then hardwood floors. The cleaning pattern was set to standard which does the best job while also conserving battery use. The water level for the mop wetting was set to 15%. The floors are never hugely dirty (no kids. and no pets) so I told it not to empty the dust bin until the whole house was cleaned and as clean as I thought the house was, the dustbin was full after it was done. What impressed me was all the dirt it found on low suction that I never even knew was on my floors. The results are the whole house vacuumed and mopped in 2 and a half hours without having to recharge. The battery also had 24% charge left on it. Now if my house was mostly carpeted and I had messy kids (mine are moved out) and pet hair all over the place the unit would of had to recharge at least once. The great thing is though is that if it does need to recharge it knows how much of the house is left to get done and recharges enough to finish the job instead of charging all the way to 100% which saves time. It navigated all obstacles with ease and traversed all transition strips without a hitch. My wife now frequently comments about how good the floors look after the X9 has finished mopping them. I think the fact that it uses a roller mop that is constantly cleaning itself while scrubbing the floor instead of the disk style mops that are only cleaned at the station is the reason for this. Also the people that I read in the reviews complaining about it returning to the base station to clean the roller to frequently or always emptying the dust bin when it has no dirt in it, or they cant turn the robots voice to off just haven’t spent enough time studying the app. All these complaints can be remedied through the app which in turn can also extend the battery life. The only thing is that even though it ran perfectly the one thing I can’t vouch for is the longevity of the unit. How many years am I gonna get out of it. It better be a long time. We’ll see. Every other brand I considered always had somebody who said their Ecovacs, RoboRock, Eufey or their Roomba was junk and wouldn’t buy them again. So I went with the brand that had the most 5 star ratings and smallest ratio of one star ratings which was the Ecovacs. Also “Vacuum Wars” gave the X9 their number one rating too. So far, I’m very happy with this purchase.
