Great camera! Works on 2.4GHz and 5GHz
Very easy to set up. I have it configured to use my existing mechanical doorbell, which you can easily do with the supplied hardware.I used the Tuya app, as this is what I was using with my other cameras and I knew this camera was compatible. The Energizer app works well, but the Tuya app allows me to view my cameras on a designated web page, as well as record through this web page. I highly recommend it. You can also record on a microSD card inserted in the doorbell (up to 128GB).The image is sharp and clear, and notification are almost instant. You can talk with the person at your door using your phone from anywhere! There are several customizable settings for the doorbell in the app and all do a very good job.This is my 2nd Energizer Smart Doorbell and I would definitely buy another if I needed one. I have no complaints at all.

10xâs better than previous version
I will admit, the last version of the Energizer doorbell camera wasnât that bad but this newer version lows the older one out of the way. 10xâs better. The camera quality is way better. It has more features and better connectivity. Easy to hook up and connect to your internet. Itâs wired so you donât have to worry about the battery life. It also has a SS card lot for storage. I feel itâs a great value for the price.

Do not recommend
The only thing wrong with this is there is no settings of what to record, such as people, cars and animals. Regardless of the sensitivity level you choose, it records every movement; shadows, trees moving, tree shadows- which fills up the largest SD card that can be used. Because of this, one: you’re getting notifications continuously when there’s nothing there, and two: the videos are copied over every night so if you missed an important event the day before, it will be gone by 12 AM. There also is no easy feature to save a recorded event. The app also has issues at times, where it states there are no recorded events when clearly all day there was. This has happened to me and to my sister who also uses these doorbell camera’s.

Good picture resolution and works with existing doorbell
Pros:*Works with existing electric doorbell. Never needs battery since it pulls power from the doorbell transformer*Does not require a paid subscription*Stores about 2 weeks of continuous recording on 128 GB micro SD card*Switch from night (IR) to day (color) mode works properly with this model, even in subzero temperatures*Good picture quality*Can use (at least) two with the same 10 VA doorbell transformer (one on front door, other on back door)Cons:*”Automatic set up” did not work for me with Android phone. Had to do the manual setup (which was very simple–a QR code appears on your phone and you just put that in front of the camera)*Motion detection area is not very flexible–the smallest area I could select was about 1/4 of the picture.*Frequent false motion detection, especially on windy days (tree shadows move) or rainy/snowy nights (exaggerated detection with IR sensor).*When viewing camera video, the android app switches to “telephone” mode which is NOT released when I leave the app. This caused a continuous bluetooth connection which depleted my hearing aid batteries. Options for dealing with this: (1) disable hearing aids for phone calls (that’s what I chose); (2) disconnect the phone connection by holding button on hearing aid; (3) making a brief call from phone and hanging up.*The android app tends to use a lot of CPU (and battery) power if running in the foreground. I had to set my phone to put the app to sleep when not in use.*When the doorbell button is pressed, the app is supposed to initiate a video phone call. If the app is not running in the foreground, you get a notification on your phone but the video call does not start. If you open the app in response to the notification AND if the caller rings the bell again, the video call will (usually) initiate. (I didn’t consider this a fatal flaw since we don’t get a lot of people ringing our doorbell and since the old, mechanical doorbell works perfectly.)*No web app–you must use your android or i-phoneOverall: After two weeks, I am reasonably satisfied.

No subscription required for saving or viewing the cameraâs video !
Great product that allows you to add a chip for storing the video rather than purchasing others without a memory that require a subscription for $9.99 a month forever. Does require a wired doorbell connection but most homes have them.

Horrible warranty and customer service
Product while working was great. Had the ability to record and save footage without a subscription. Unfortunately just stopped working after less than a year of ownership. Product was still under warranty and they would not refund my money. I had to pay them to ship the faulty doorbell back to them. Extremely unhappy. Would not purchase again but unfortunately Iâm forced too because of their horrible warranty.Second time around with this and it stopped working again. Would not recommend this doorbell at all. Works great for a little and then just stops working. Costumer service was again awful and not helpful.

100% effectivity
Iâve had multiple people knocking and my door that I have no clue who they are! This has helped me feel and be more secured when looking to who I need to open my door to! It has live footage, recording options, as well as microphone options.
