Lighting up my life
These were a creative solution to an ongoing problem. I never remember to turn on the porch light when I leave, even knowing I wonât be home until after dark. Nifty Smart Lights
Overall I’m really impressed by the flexibility and capabilities of these lights. Control is very granular, with each light individually settable with tons of fun color options and room to add presets. The app is very functional and I haven’t hit any snags with setup or setting.The only caveat I’ll add is that it’s annoying to only be able to control the lights via a dedicated app. Having some basic solid color selection via an inbuilt or remote control would be ideal.That said, they are a fun addition to outdoor decor, can be spiced up for holidays or birthdays, and the strands and lights themselves seem very durable.

fun but complicated
I put this set of lights along the rail of my back deck, but you do have to be close enough to a wifi signal for them to work. In order to get the most out of them you have to have the Energizer app on your phone. I can control the lights from my kitchen table, maybe 15 feet from the receiver box on the light string. They are electric, so you also have to have the light string close enough to an outlet. I have an extension cord which runs along the deck to reach the outlet, not ideal and not a permanent solution. I am pretty good with technology, but I still find the control app to be a bit confusing. Bottom line you can have one color and non-blinking or multiple colors with blinking patterns. You can control the brightness and also coordinate with music, which I have not figured out yet. If you are a techie, it’s a fun toy. The other night I had the lights blinking alternating red and blue. My neighbor across the alley texted me and said it looked like the police or ambulance were in my back yard. The bulbs are LED and are not quite the size of a regular light bulb but much larger than the usual patio light. To me they are kind of expensive and more bother than I really want out of a string of lights.
