Iâve been very pleased with how well these cameras have worked after installing them a few weeks ago. I used gutter mounts to mount them high so they would get plenty of sun. I was able to easily position them to whatever angle I needed. I have had no issues with the battery life or motion sensing. I have a eufy spotlight motion camera over my garage that Iâve used for a few years and it works so well I wanted Eufy for the front as well. One of my neighbors who works in tech installation recommended this brand to me. The app is super simple to use and to adjust any settings. I love that the solar panel is on the top of the camera as opposed to having to mount a separate solar panel. These look sleek and are small and lightweight. They donât attract any attention. I love that I donât have to pay for a subscription and the cameras have built-in storage. If someone is able to easily remove your camera, the storage goes with it so keep that in mind when mounting. But if thatâs a concern you can always buy a homebase which provides local storage and can be kept inside your home. The video quality on these cameras is excellent even at night. And I have found the motion sensing to be highly accurate and the battery still has plenty of life even when recording over 100 videos a day. Connecting these to my Internet and setting up the camera is also super easy through the app. Anyone can do it. Iâd highly recommend Eufy solar cameras for anyone wanting to upgrade security in their home.

Great camera, but the appâ¦
Love the solar power and how easy the installation was. Video quality is good and seems to hold a lot of video clips. Motion detection could use a little work, it thinks shadows are people when set to human only. I love the privacy option to block out neighbors from recordings. I wish the app was a little more user friendly though. Trying to get to some features seems like it takes a lot of digging around to find each time, whereas other cameras I have are much more user friendly on the app side.

Eufyâs âSecurityâ System Is a Dangerous Joke. Weak Alarm, Misleading Info, and Useless Support
I spent over $400 on what I thought was a full Eufy home security setup. I bought the HomeBase 2, the 5-piece sensor kit, smart lock, doorbell camera, outdoor camera, chime, and more. I expected to feel safe in my home. Instead, I got a system that can barely be heard and a support team that doesnât even understand how their own products work.Only the HomeBase 2 makes a sound when the alarm is triggered. None of the sensors, cameras, or other components ring. Just one small box with a 100 dB siren sitting upstairs next to my router. I live in a two-story home. One day the alarm rang for hours and I didnât even notice. Neither did my neighbors. What kind of security system is that?When I contacted customer service, I explained everything clearly. I gave them the facts, the issue, and the exact solution. Their replies were insulting. They asked me if I had tried turning up the volume. I had. They told me to try different alarm tones. I had. They told me to move the HomeBase, even though I clearly said it had to stay next to the router. Then they told me to use my doorbell camera as a siren, which is connected to a chime and would go off with every passerby. Itâs not even linked to the HomeBase alarms. That suggestion made no sense at all.Then came the most ridiculous part. They actually asked me if my house had walls. Yes, my house has walls. Thatâs how houses work. If your product canât be heard through a wall, itâs not fit to be called a security system.It got worse. They asked if my motion sensors and entry sensors made noise. These devices do not emit sound. They never have. Itâs shocking that their own support team doesnât even know how their products function. Thatâs basic information and they clearly didnât have it.They also told me Eufy doesnât make a separate siren. I had to send them a link to their own siren listed on Amazon before they even acknowledged it existed. I asked for two of them to be sent to me as a fair resolution. After dodging the request with emotional reassurances and irrelevant replies, they just stopped responding.To make things even more frustrating, one of the cameras I bought wasnât compatible with the system. I only found this out through trial and error, because the product description doesnât mention it. Nowhere does it say it wonât work. Thatâs on them.Thereâs no actual customer service number. Youâre left emailing support reps who donât read your messages, donât know the products, and give you useless copy-paste responses while stalling you into silence.I handed them the solution. I explained the problem from day one. I did all the work for them. The moment I had an airtight case and knocked down every excuse they had, they disappeared.If you want a system thatâs reliable, loud, and backed by people who care about your safety, this isnât it. The design is flawed, the listings are misleading, and the customer service will waste your time until you give up. I regret buying this. You will too.Update: After weeks of trying to work with Eufy support, I was offered a refund that doesnât even cover the cost of fixing the problem. I asked for two sirens so the system could function properly, or a refund to cover the actual price. They refused both and closed the case. Since I pointed out the siren was on Amazon, it was suddenly removed and now only shows up on their website. I gave them every chance to resolve this and they chose not to. Think twice before trusting this system to protect your home.

Very clear, always powered.
This camera I paired with my 4k cameras. You really ain’t gonna see a quality difference really. It’s very clear and as long as it’s in a spot that gets sun it will never die. Mine are all solar powered and I have it set to record only when humans are detected so it ignores passing cars. It’s never dropped a single bar since I’ve had them. So they’re worth owning especially if you don’t like messy cords. You can live view and speak through them as well. Live view will drain the battery but you’d have to just be watching constantly for that to happen.
