FAQ
What is the difference between dual motion detection and single-motion detection?
Other doorbells on the market have only one sensor, radar, or passive infrared (PIR) for object detection. We used both sensors in Video Doorbell Dual to combine the advantages of the heat and sound wave sensing, reducing false alarms by 95%.
Can the battery doorbell work as a wired doorbell when it’s hardwired?
Yes, you can install the battery doorbell as a wired doorbell to work with your existing chime and improve battery life. If you prefer, you can purchase a wired version (Available only in North America).
Can I connect my battery doorbell to my doorbell wires to extend battery life?
Yes, you can connect to your existing wires to extend your doorbell’s battery life.
How long does the fully charged battery last?
In most common scenarios, a fully charged battery can last for 180 days. We tested the battery length under the following conditions:
– Temperature: 68°F (20°C);
– 10 motion detections per day;
– Recorded for 20 seconds each time motion was detected;
– Standby power consumption was included during usage time.
Battery life varies depending on the number of times motion is detected, recording time duration, and environmental temperatures.
Can I share my Video Doorbell Dual with my family members?
Yes, you can share your device with any of your family members. As an owner, you can adjust permission settings for different people.
Does Video Doorbell Dual support Apple HomeKit?
No, it supports Amazon Alexa and the Google Assistant, but it doesn’t currently support HomeKit.
Can I use Echo/Google Home Mini as a chime?
Users can use Alexa Echo as a chime. Here’s how:
1. Enable the eufy Security skill on your Alexa App.
2. Link the eufy Security account to Alexa.
3. Discover a new device.
4. Find Video Doorbell Dual and enable “Doorbell Announcement”.
Google Home Mini is not supported.
Can I link 2 eufy Security Chimes with Video Doorbell Dual?
Yes, but we recommend linking to HomeBase 2 and trying that as a chime.
Can I hardwire Video Doorbell S220 2K (Battery-Powered)? How do I recharge it?
Yes, Video Doorbell S220 2K (Battery-Powered) can be hardwired to your existing doorbell wires for continuous charging. Make sure the voltage is 8-24VAC, 10VA or above. You can also charge the battery doorbell with a 5V/2A, 5V/1A USB charger.

I appreciate the great features of the dual cameras
This thing works great and takes great video and pictures with good audio quality to go with it all while providing the clear visibility of people being watched, making some thieves less likely to even approach the yard, let alone the front door/steps. Their ecosystem provides great options that all play very well together as well.

Great upgrade , AI is hit or miss but good try
We replaced the first generation doorbell with this one. What I like about it most is that this one has the split camera model. I can see the packages on the floor and I can see who delivered it. So it has a really really good field of view. The resolution is also higher so there is no issues with pixelation. What it does well is that it recognizes the people overtime by name. What it doesnât do so well is properly record when packages are picked up or delivered meaning it doesnât know when youâre picking it up or where you when you are walking past it. So sometimes the voice kicks in even though you arenât taking any actions. It has a few in app security features like a warning toAnyone looking to pick up a package or people loitering by the door. Good idea. I last about two months on a charge and itâs connected to my homebase 3 without any problems. This is definitely worth the upgrade over the first generation doorbell cams from EUFY.

A Camera with a View that surely E. M. Forster would approve
The battery doorbell can be wired if so desired. Cool! I’m using the battery and it appears to have a good lifetime when starting with a full state of charge. I appreciate that the lower camera has the capability of slight adjustment that seems sufficient to look left, right, closer, further. The app has done well to tell me when there is a person and more importantly when a package is delivered and when a package is picked up. I wish it were USB-C charge port instead of micro-USB. My biggest complaint is with the HomeBase3 (HB3) S380 that is required for use. The HB3 needs to be at a current firmware version and updating the HB3 is a dark art. There is no way to force a firmware update on the HB3; So, bring plenty of patience. I have and would purchase this again. Having said that, Eufy (Hello, parent company, Anker) needs to get its act together, get serious about cloud encryption, provide better tech support, and fix the firmware version upgrade check in the app to be 5 stars instead of 4.

Great video
Way better than the ring door camera. Picture is clear. Dual lens with package detection works great

It does the job. But not very well.
The only thing I like about this camera is that I can use it to be lazy and see if we have a ð¦ on our front steps or not.The detection of motion is horrible with this camera. It has even missed delivery people walking straight at it to leave a package on the front step. The detection range of this camera is only 10ft. Yes, that’s correct 10ft ð¤®! By the time it picks up someone walking near your house all you can see of them is a blurry image of the back of their head. Before you ask I do have it set to maximum sensitivity. But it motion and radar sensors just leave a lot to be desired. Bottom line is that I will not be buying this again or recommending it to anyone.

Works like a charm
I like the Eufy doorbell chime. It has a clear and HD quality video, it has it’s own Homebase (no monthly or yearly) subscription, it is was easy to install with the step by step instructions. I will order other products to grow my security system.

Prone to Failure. On my 3rd one. I strongly suggest you buy support plan
I just had to get my 3rd replacement doorbell. Fortunately the most recent one died with a couple days left on the “good as new” warranty. I made it a point to buy the 3-yr replacement plan this time. These tend to fail during recharging. I think this must be a product defect causing this. Aside from the frequent and massive failures, the doorbell performs well.

Mounting device didnât last a year
The video recording on the Eufy is decent. But the app is pretty sluggish to start displaying the live feed. So as far as recording goes, itâs adequate.The thing causing me to put up this review is that after having mounted it initially, then trying to remount it after replacing the door, I realized the latching mechanism is broken. The pictures show me taking it apart, and the little square piece must have had a smaller hook piece at one point to attach the unit to the mount. That piece is broken.After emailing back and forth with CS, they told me there was nothing they could do. That they did not have any replacement latches they could send me. They then offered me a 15% discount for my troubles on a new one. I told them that was inadequate because itâs less than a year old, and said I would be writing this review. They came back with a 40% discount on a new one.This little piece of plastic should be super cheap and should be available as a replacement part. But apparently they would rather sell you a whole new unit than make this available.Iâm extremely disappointed as Iâve bought over $1k of equipment from them to add to their enclosed ecosystem. Iâm done with that now and will be selling my equipment and going to a platform that actually is controllable by Home Assistant.I previously loved the Eufy product and the at-home storage. But they donât want to stand by their product apparently.
