Perfect
Works well!

Completely Worthless
This was totally worthlessâ¦.. first itâs too large to use on shingles lower on a wall and secondly, it just didnât work. It only bends nails over and makes the job even harder. I returned it

Perfect tool for the job
Well made and excellent value

Bends the nails… doesn’t remove or cut them.
I was expecting the Ripper to cut the nails, but it only bends them. This is not the desired outcome and therefore wouldn’t recommend the Faithful Slate Ripper.

Didnât work for shingling house
The product didnât work when shingling my house- the product was not stiff enough and it was too long.

Not for cedar shingles
Bought tool to use to replace cedar siding. The tool was described to be used for removal of slate shingles. The tool does not slice the hidden nails, it bends them keeping the nail intact. This causes a major effort and time to eventually remove the nail using everything, except this tool. My next step is to attempt to file down the nail slots to attempt to sharpen these areas.

doesn’t cut nails
push the tool in and hook up with nail with no problem, give it two hard taps then the shingle snapped and nail bent down instead cut. Perfect for destroying cedar shingles if that’s what you planned not to with this tool.

alright

I have never attempted to replace rotten wooden shingles and this tool should make the entire process quite painless and highly effective. Time and a little effort will tell all!

..to remove nails

The weld from handle to blade looks solid as this takes the most stress, only used a few times but invaluable tool for slate removal.Recommend.

Had a broken slate on the garage roof so armed with the basic knowledge (thanks to UTube) searched on Amazon. Product is remarkably cheap yet well made. It was very easy to use and did a perfect job. Nice item to have in the tool shed
