Great Pack Gathering. Three little words. One mandate that ruined my life.

I’m a doctor and a researcher. My pack is small, in a quiet part of central Texas. It’s a simple existence, and I like it that way. It’s just me and my two besties, living our best single lives.

That is until the mandate comes. Every unmated wolf in the entire world called to one place. I’m a psi, the weakest designation there is. I can barely shift, and there’s no chance of me getting matched—only humiliated.

It can’t get worse—until it does. I’ve barely made it off the bus when I lock eyes with the hottest wolf I’ve ever seen, and he reeks of power. There’s no way he’ll be interested in me, a psi wolf who can barely hold her shift.

Until my wolf starts acting crazy, my magic goes on the fritz, and I’m suddenly wielding way more power than a lowly psi. Goddess only knows what’s going on, but there isn’t much time for me to figure it out.

Oh, and there’s one more little thing. Mr. Hottie McPowerful? He’s the prince of the shifter world, and my fated mate, whether he wants to be, or not.

This steamy wolf-shifter paranormal romance from April L. Moon is perfect for fans of Shannon Mayer and Jaymin Eve. This book contains an HEA for our main couple but the story arc spans multiple books, each containing a new couple and a new romance, while still bringing in familiar faces until our world’s problems are solved.

    AMAZING!!
Great intro into the series! I cannot wait to start book 2, and I really hope they get more answers into Brielle’s situation in future books. The epilogue may just be my favorite part of the whole book though 😍 so excited to read more of that!!

    addicting fast read
Brielle may not be the strongest wolf wise but she knows how to handle every situation thrown at her. I loved that she’s a healer, I haven’t read a werewolf book where a female was the healer.Kane is rough around the edges, but soften up for her (eventually). This is not a right away fall in love with you mate bond it took some work which makes the relationship more realistic. It’s also a connected series you do not get answers at the end of this book. It’s great though I loved every minute devoured it within a few hours.

    Great read
Great read. Hard to put down. The only reason I gave it four stars instead of five, was because I would have liked to have read more about Brielle’s condition… What was discovered when they met with the Shaman. What, Why, and Who, if applicable. Maybe a second book telling that side of her story? A prequel or a sequel.

    good easy read
This was a quick easy read. Well written with likable characters. The story itself wasn’t anything ground breaking and new, but still fun to read and enjoyable nonetheless. There were a few things I think would’ve helped like more yearning between the MCs. I get they’re fated mates and there is going to be this pull between them, but they didn’t actually complete the bond until the last chapter, so I would have liked to see more yearning and showing how they want each other to build the anticipation. There was very little build up. Did the characters really even love each other? I guess since the author told us they did, they did, but it would have been nice to be shown how they love each other. The whole love portion just felt a little flat. Also, the build up to the challenge, this was a big moment in the story and we got a short and I mean a short couple paragraphs of the FMC training that supposedly happened over 6 days. She went from a non fighter doctor to being ready for the challenge all off the page. And because there really wasn’t a lot of focus on the build up to the challenge when it came time it again just felt flat and was over in a couple paragraphs. Sort of a let down. Then there is the rest of the story that just sort of fell to the wayside, I’m guessing it will be completed in the upcoming books, but part of it is specific to Brielle the FMC from this book, so it just seems weird to leave those unanswered questions for another couple’s telling. The murder was also left unsolved and almost seemed forgotten, but leaving that to be solved later isn’t so bothersome because it isn’t directly involving a character. All that being said, I still enjoyed the book, I just think it was missing a little something. I guess if I’m going to read a book that has some pretty common tropes and storylines I want them to be written at an elevated level bc there are hundreds of books out there giving the same thing.

Bri, Shay and Leigh equal 3 fun besties
Light spoilersI enjoyed this book more for the relationship of the 3 best friends than anything else. They were there for each other the whole story. They were fun and funny and I just found them likable. Fast read and now that Bri and Kane are mated, I’m looking forward to see what he shaman says about Bri and to see who else hooks up with who. And to find out who the murderer is.
