Amazing Razor!
I took Jayne Matthews DIY bangs and hair laying class and use this razor and my hair came out AMAZING! probably one of the best hair cuts I have ever had becuase 1) it looks GREAT and 2) I did it myself.The razor was very sharp and easily to handle and I LOVE that it has the rounded edges so you cannot cut yourself. It always makes me nervous to handle tools like this but feel great and super safe with it. Cannot recommend this product (and Jayne Matthews class) enough!

I started cutting my own hair six years ago. It started with scissors, but I often felt stifled and hemmed in by them. Over time I grew more comfortable cutting my hair but wanted something a little different than what scissors could offer.In came the sensitive and creative Jayne Matthews who recommends this razor for razor cutting. Before I had this razor my hair was long thick and heavy. I felt overwhelmed by both taking care of my hair on a daily basis and whenever I tried to cut my hair. Once I got this razor I was able to thin my hair out and create lovely âpetalsâ (term coined by Jayne Matthews) of hair that free my hair up to be wavier again, but I get to keep the long length I enjoy.I look forward to âcuttingâ my hair now as it is a much more imperfect, intuitive, playful, and creative process. I have hair that genuinely feels like me for the first time in my life. The razor is wonderful because it has the protector and it cuts really well and smoothly. Having tension on the hair and having the hair wet is important. As is trusting yourself to learn how to use it over time and being creative in finding what works for your hair texture. It wonât happen overnight especially when weâve been reliant on hairdressers our whole lives. Itâ can be a wonderful process of learning to trust oneâs own creative and intuitive abilities to give themselves what they truly desire.I would recommend this razor to anyone starting out in cutting your own hair. Have fun :)Update: I have also started to cut my partners hair, he enjoys having a more natural, soft and messy shape, unique to him. By using the razor I can highlight his features and natural soft curls. He is also starting to get comfortable using it on himself too and he too likes it so much more than scissors.

Easy to Use
I’ve used super cheaper razors before, but this one works much better. I always have my hair razored at the salon, but I wanted to do some touch ups on my own. I am no professional, but I was able to watch some YouTube videos with some pointers in order to successfully use this product. The key is wet hair, the correct angle, and little to no pressure. It’s lightweight and easy to use. It doesn’t come with instructions and the packaging is unnecessarily bulky, so that’s why I’m giving it 4 stars.

Great to keep fringe trimmed up
I needed to keep up with my fringe and I canât always get to the salon. So I ordered this and itâs bang on. Love it cause I know what to do to trim these up a little.

One of the skills I learned during ‘high Pandemia’ was how to do my own razor-cut shag by taking an online class with the amazing Jayne Matthews of @jayne_edosalon on IG. She recommended this tool so I bought it. Not only have I stopped having to see a hair stylist, I also get more compliments on my hair now than I ever did! Of course, that’s more to do with learning how to do this than the tool itself BUT I could never achieve this style without this razor.Oh! And I love that it’s ambidextrous. I’m left handed and many tools don’t work for us. This one does! No problem!
