Customers say
Customers appreciate the fiberglass tape’s quality, noting its selvage edges prevent fraying, and find it easy to use with good adhesive strength. The product receives positive feedback for its repair capabilities, with one customer successfully using it to fix an old sailboat rail. However, the edge quality and fiber content receive mixed reviews, with several customers reporting that the edges unravel. Additionally, customers disagree on the value for money, and multiple customers report issues with the tape not wetting out properly.

Excellent product and seller
Product is top quality, came on a roll, Seller followed up with me to make sure it arrived in good condition and included tips on how to use. An added touch that is much appreciated.

Threads pull out easily
Not completely satisfied with the product. The price is very good but it looks like they cut an 8″ strip from a wider roll. As a result, it “sheds” strings very badly on the cut side. Huge pain when the strings pull out of the weave while you’re building up the resin, you have to try and collect them with your gloves on, then get them off your gloves so you can continue applying resin.

Good stuff does the job
Great as lathe tape for scientific glassblowing applications Iâve had the same roll about 6 months now. Not as thick as blue donât buy this if you are making tongs

Easy to use,
Repair of fiberglass composite is easy to do. Make a good mix with a two part epoxy. Prepare the surface, coat with epoxy mixture, lay on cloth, add additional epoxy to wet all fibers and smooth and work out any air bubbles

Perfect for fiberglass canoe
Had a crack to repair on a fiberglass canoe. This material worked great. Just cut it, soak it in the fiberglass resin and hardener mixture and apply!

Returned the “not quite 2” for “exactly 3″
Quality appears good–am returning it for 3″ size because this is just under 2″ wide with somewhat rough edges. I need the full 2″ or more. The 3” size has properly finished edges and consistent weave–I expect good results in use.

Ran out of tape on a project so ordered this based on the product description that it has a selvage (stitched) edge. It does not. Instead, the edges are coated with some kind of waxy substance to prevent fraying and unravelling (it still does fray and unravel!). Worse, the coating on the edges prevented the glass from absorbing my epoxy resin, which meant that along the each side of the finished tape there is 1/4″ wide edge that did not absorb resin nor stick to the substrate, and now will have to be sanded off or cut off. May work okay with polyester resin if it breaks down the edge coating, but if you’re using epoxy AVOID THIS PRODUCT.

The product meets a need for wider ( 8 inch) fiberglass for covering corners and reinforcing areas that traditional 6 inch product cannot. Excellent price.
