Good roll of fiberglass mat – great for making composites like spaceships and canoes.
Good roll of fiberglass mat. Honestly, for raw materials like these, I never know what to say in a review. It is indeed fiberglass and in a roll and is the dimensions stated in the listing. It did seem to shed a bit but having actually never worked with making composites or using mat (I actually have used weave before now that I think of it) that could be entirely normal.A bit odd that it comes with a singular glove, but I wasn’t even expecting that many so yay!?Overall I would recommend this if you’re looking for this raw material

Soft and pliable
I recently used this coarse fiberglass fabric roll on a large repair project and was impressed by how soft and pliable it is. The fabric molds easily around curves and corners without bunching, making it simple to cover complex shapes. When I applied resin, the cloth absorbed it readily, allowing me to build up sturdy, seamless layers. Once cured, the patch felt rock-solid and bonded well to the substrate.The rollâs generous width meant I could tackle sizable areas without having to piece together multiple strips. Cutting it to length is straightforward, though you will want to wear gloves and a dust mask to avoid irritation from stray fibers. Overall it feels durable and well-suited for heavy-duty repairs. If you need a reliable, strong fabric for large fiberglass jobs, this roll is an excellent choice.

Good quality Fiberglass mat.
This roll of 4″ (not 10″) matt performs well.It wets out easy, and does not have a stiff coating of sizing on it so it conforms to curves well.The only real issue is that since it is so pliable, your brush will pick up a lot more strands of fiberglass than can be kind of irritating to deal with.It does nor work as well with epoxy resins, it’s harder to wet out and get the bubbles out, but that’s the way epoxies are.Combine this with a layer of 7-1/2 Oz. fiberglass cloth and you will have a very strong part when you’re done.I’m pleased with it
