Perfect cover
I love this slim, understated case for my Kindle. I have a Kindle Scribe, but wanted to use a smaller device for travel, but needed a case. I love the look and texture of this case, and the price is right. I also like the magnetic closure and that it turns on/off automatically. Very pleased.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:I have an older version of Kindle reader.  When I purchased it years ago, I ordered a fake leather case that had a snap closure.  If you held it upside down, the Kindle could slip out of the top.  This case finally deteriorated so I began looking for a replacement.     Loved the âStarry Nightâ design so ordered it.  My Kindle fit snuggly and seems almost magnetic in this case.  It is surprisingly lightweight despite being hard shell.  There is no closure flap getting in the way while Iâm reading.  Wish I had made the switch years ago.

A few weeks ago I purchased a Fintie Kindle Paperwhite Folio Case – The Book Style PU Leather Cover, for my new paperwhite. There was obviously a defect in that cover as showed signs of distortion when the Paperwhite was properly mounted. So I returned the cover to Amazon for a refund. Enter, the Fintie Customer Service Representative who contacted me by e-mail. He apologized for the defective cover and asked if I would mind writing a review for the same two-tone cover style in the smart shell case. He sent the complimentary cover which I received today, So that is my disclosure and this is my review.The smart shell cover has the same smart two-tone look as the Folio Case. (see the photos) The Smart Shell case is much lighter weight than the Folio Case and lays flat against any surface. The cover will fold back for one hand reading, and the auto wake / sleep mechanism works flawlessly. The overall fit and finish of the case are excellent, and the Paperwhite fits inside the shell with perfect alignment. Access to the charging port and the power switch is unfettered by the case. The leather grain and stitching on the front and small silver badge (FINTIE Original) provides a classic look that belies it’s value price.I’d also like to rate the Fintie Company. Their customer service representative, Isaac, was nothing short of extraordinary. He indicated to me that the company has two major goals. First, is the complete satisfaction of their customers. Obviously, that claim holds water considering their e-mail to me despite my return of their product. Second is the reputation of their products. Although my exposure to this organization is relatively limited, I get the impression that this is a company the consumer can trust. In the interest of full disclosure let me state that I am not affiliated with the Fintie Company in any way, nor have received any remuneration or other consideration, other than the case I received for evaluation purposes, for review.

I like this case very much.Good fit, good protective powers, good durability.My kindle is a 2016 Paperwhite, and the fit is absolutely perfect.This cover is fairly water resistant on the exterior. I very often set my summer vacation very iced Gin & Tonic on this kindle cover, and the condensation never even hints at risking any damage to the cover or the device. On the few rare occasions I’ve allowed water to touch the inside of the cover, not so great, it absorbed readily. I have twice accidentally spilled food on the outside, once was even tomato soup, and that wiped off quite easily.Protection otherwise is also great. I’ve dropped it a few times, never a hint of damage to cover or device. Also, I keep it in a soft duffle or backpack (often up against metal things like charging adapters or zippers) when I travel, also never a hint of damage to cover or device.The spine is durable. I routinely fold the cover all the way back while I read, and the spine has held up admirably.Lifespan… The seams have just now begun to give way. I purchased the cover 3.5 years before the first split became apparent. Honestly, 2 years is a good lifespan for a $12 cover, IMHO. 3.5 I consider to be great.Also, I got the parchment map looking design, it looks good. Color never faded.Totally recommendable.

Me gustó mucho la funda:1. Le quedó perfecta a mi kindle 2013.2. ES vini piel pero se ve muy elegante.3. La función de bloqueo de pantalla funciona excelente hasta el momento.Solo le quitarÃa la pequeña muesca que sobresale del contorno, por lo demás excelente relación preciocalidad.
