Do I need to connect camera’s WiFi every time?
No. The dash cam will auto turn on/off, along with your car engine.
Can I view video after off the car or remotely?
No, only if you’ve downloaded footage to your phone in advance. The camera’s WiFi is not remote, and video will be auto saved in MicroSD card (NOT PHONE).
Can I use CarPlay/Bluetooth when driving?
Yes. Your phone cannot be connected to CarPlay and dash cam WiFi at the same time, but the camera records automatically after car starts, so you don’t need to keep WiFi connected to camera all the time.

Better than I expected!
This is perfect for my 2025 Ford F-150 Lightning Flash! Despite this coming with a microSD card, I would recommend to purchase a brand that specializes video recording with quick read/write speeds.Installing this was as simple as it could get in the front with a little bit of light work to install the cable for the rear camera. The length in of cable for the rear camera is a quite long and will have some extra cable if itâs not stuffed and bundled along the way. If anyone is wondering if this would affect overall range in the battery, it doesnât really. I made a 6 hour driving trip recently, and based on the This Trip app, it was using 1% – 2% of the battery in the highway and it went up to 5% when going below 50mph. This was on the 4k setting as well, and if youâre concerned about range in any way, you can set the front camera to 2k to reduce power consumption.

FiTCAMX is absolutely the way to go. Iâm loving the clean, factory-style setup on my new 2025 F-150 PowerBoost. I used to run a Vantrue N4 on my previous F-150, but this is on another levelâsleek, unintrusive, and blends right in. Mounting the rear cam on the mirror is a huge plus too. It gives me exactly what I wanted: in-cabin footage with audio, without the clutter. The app works really smoothly on Androidâno complaints there. Best dashcams on the market
This is my 3rd Fitcamx camera. 2024 Honda Ridgeline, 2022 Toyota Tundra, and now 2024 Ford F-150. They all were a breeze to install and worked perfectly. The video quality and reliability are awesome. The F-150 installation literally to under 5 minutes. Could not be more pleased with these cameras, they look OEM.

Didn’t work when I needed it most.
First of all, installation was a dream on my brand new Ford Raptor. Phone up connected easily, watched video, quality and access was great – you’d think it was perfect? Well, think again.Last night I was on a 3 lane interstate and when I tried to change lanes, a car racing along approx 110mph zipped in. I hadn’t left my lane completely yet, so I just eased back to center but what I didn’t see was the racer on the other side of the car thinking he could take my lane and he hit my vehicle, overcorrected, and spun 360 degrees several times before flying in the air and landing in a ditch. Many folks pulled over. The left side racer had just kept speeding and never saw him again. The right hand speeder pretended not to speak English, got angry when I took a cell phone photo of his license plate, and when I went to walk back to my truck, he and his passenger jumped into their bashed in vehicle and fled the scene. 3 State Troopers show up, and I “know” I have video…. NOPE!The FITCAM settings are set up to overwrite the oldest video to continually record. That did not happen. When the SD card became full, it stopped recording. There is NO video evidence.Obviously, this defeats the entire purpose of spending this much money to carry an eye witness in case something like this would happen.On a very, very positive note, I had the presence of mind to have taken a cell phone photo of the plate of the guy that actually hit me, AND – of all the blessings – he actually hit my massive rear truck tire and the “bounce” from that sent him sailing…. other than a wheel alignment, I think I’m very, very, VERY blessed to walk away from this mess fairly unscathed.I will contact FITCAM and will update my review pending their support response to this, but right now, I am VERY VERY upset about having put my trust in this particular camera. I have many dash cams and I am not an unfamiliar user. This is a horrible experience. BEWARE or at least BE AWARE.

Perfect dash cam for a F-150
Best dash cam for an F-150 hands down! This looks and functions like an OEM product. The quality of the recording is superb, the clarity is good enough to see license plates in recordings without issue. The fit and finish is the best part about this camera – you can’t even tell it is there. My favorite part about the camera is that it hard-wires into the mirror for power, this is far superior to running a wire either to 12v power or to the fuse box. For the price, it is hard to beat this camera.
