You don’t need to keep camera connected as it will auto-record after car starts. You only need to connect the camera in the need of viewing or downloading video. No affect the normal use of CarPlay or Bluetooth
Where is the video stored? Can I view video anytime i want?
The video is auto-saved in SD card, not phone. 1. Only if you’ve downloaded footage to your phone in advance, you can watch it even off the car or remotely. 2. You can also watch it on computer by intserting sD card
With front 4k camera installed, can I add a rear cam separately?
NO, because the PCB boards are different between single front and dual version.
Is the dash cam featured with Parking Sensor? And is it 24h recording?
Not all FlTCAMX dash cams has parking sensor, you need extra harness to upgrade with this function. And there are 24h and non-24h recording option, please confirm with FlTCAMX for more details.
Why dash cam gets hot?
It’s normal situation but no worry. 1. The surrounding space of camera is small, and the original parts nearby will cause high temperature.2.The camera is under windshield which is in direct sunlight by day.

Dash Cam with a factory feel!
Great quality front dash cam with a factory feel! Installation of this system was simple. Entire process took nearly 5 mins to do. I utilized the FitCam youtube videos to assist in the install as well as the directions which were very simple to read and understand. The functionality of the unit is simple as well. You download the app on the app store and connect to it via wireless connection which is stated how to do so on the directions. The app allows you to view the camera live or past video feeds from prior driving. If by chance you get in an accident this unit has a built-in sensor that will lock the video leading up to the accident so that is will not be recorded over. The download speed to retrieve videos is pretty quick and you can store the videos on your phone or email them to other sources. The camera allows the option to timestamp which is very nice. The unit will only record while the vehicle is running and on. They do have an option to run while parked and it is an additional install wiring that gets it power from your fuse panel instead of the power at the mirror. For the money I highly recommend this camera and would definitely purchase again.

Easy and no one would know itâs there!
Works great! The password is on the instructions for when you view video on the app. This camera is out of the way and looks built in. Turn on the truck, it comes on. Turn the truck off, itâs off. No fuss or haggling with wires. It blinks red when not recording and blue when it is.

Not worth it.
Would not recommend. So many issues with the product. Iâve had this for about a month now. I got it for my 2024 Tacoma TRD Off-road. Iâll start with the pros and there arenât many. 1) itâs easy to install, plug and play. Canât get any easier. App is easy to use as well. And thatâs about it. Cons: 1) it doesnât record âwhen the car turns onâ. I have to physically and manually connect it to WiFi EVERY time I get in the truck. 2) adding to having to manually connect to WiFi it wonât let you use car play because you have to turn off Bluetooth. I found a way around it where Iâm plugging my phone in and I can have car play and the camera going at same time. 3) the quality is horrible. Just watch the video I posted. This is pretty much how it looks every time I connect. Buffing, froze, pixilated. Just bad quality film. 4) Took a 5 hour drive to mammoth and the app forced closed about 4 times.A lot of these cons are stated in the description, they are just easy to over look. All the reviews are so âgreatâ. Hopefully this product works better for you.

Super quick and easy to install in 20 minutes, including routing the wiring and camera for the back. Fits well, looks factory. Loving it.

Great camera, app is merely decent
Took less than 5 minutes to install – the hardest part is removing the clips from the factory cover.The app could be improved, it’d be nice to be able to download full quality photos and clips without removing the SD card – as it stands you have to connect to the camera to your phone over wifi and the video is highly compressed. Overall satisfied with the product for the price.

Factory look with dash cam basic functions covered
This is the 2nd FitCamX dash cam that Iâve purchased. The first was for a 2018 Camry and then this one for a 2025 Tacoma SR5. Like the first install, this one took less than 10 minutes and most of that time I was fumbling around trying to remove the old mirror cover and then a few minutes getting the new cover with the integrated dash cam back in place.There are other dash cams on the market that have more bells and whistles than does the FitCamX dash cam. All the higher-end ones I checked out, before deciding to go with FitCamX again, had the same issues I couldnât get past. They look like add-ons – like an electronic parasite stuck haphazardly (suction cups or adhesives) to your windshield, and more often than not, with visible cables feeding the parasite. And then their prices!!This FitCamX dash cam went into a brand new truck – no parasites allowed! Thatâs where FitCamX excels. For all intents and purposes it is (nearly) invisible, and what you can see of it looks like a factory installed item. Bad guys canât steal what they donât know exists. For me, thatâs worth a few bells and whistles. And all for $180 (what I paid after discounts), and it comes with a memory card! I did, however, buy a higher capacity memory card for mine.In my mind, FitCamX has all the basics needed for a functional dash cam. It records images in front of your vehicle clearly and lets you retrieve those recordings later as needed.It also came with a USB dongle to read the dash camâs memory card from a computer and/or mobile device.

Works with 6th Gen 2025 Toyota 4 Runner
Works in my 2025 Toyota 4 runner 6th gen. It appears to be fighting for the wifi with carplay but after a couple days i found that it had been recording every drive. You must be connected to it with the car running to gain access to the videos. Picture is my original cover that was removed and replaced with the camera unit.
