Silicone Points of InterestSilicone Points of Interest

Flashers brand pipe flashings are intended to create a water-tight seal on pipe penetrations through metal roofing and siding. Flashers are NOT recommended for use on applications that exceed continuous temperature ranges, as listed. Ex: Single Wall pipe with Flashers pipe flashing mounted close to heat source. Product failure may occur with temperatures exceeding applicable ranges. Use on projects out of the scope of the intended use or temperature range will void any possibility of manufacturer replacement.

Silicone Flashers are rated to service a continuous temperature range of -100 to +450 degrees Fahrenheit.
Flashers require no special tools or complicated installation methods. The rubber cone is clearly marked with pipe dimensions, in both inches and millimeters, so it can be easily customized with tin snips or scissors.
Flashers’ flexible rubber won’t crack and allows for expansion, contraction, and pipe vibration. The heavy rubber fold and aluminum ring at the base allows them to fit any roof pitch or metal profile.

Customers say

Customers find the roof flashing easy to install, with one mentioning it molds well to metal roofs. The product receives positive feedback for its quality, durability, and heat resistance, with one customer noting it doesn’t melt or degrade under high temperatures. They appreciate its sealing capabilities, with one mentioning it’s ideal for wood stoves and hot exhausts.

Flashers #7 Silicone High Temp Roof Jack Pipe Boot – Flexible, Heat-Ready, and Safety-Minded
I snagged this Flashers #7 silicone pipe boot to seal a 6-inch double-wall chimney pipe on my metal-roofed workshop, and it’s been a dependable choice. Built for pipes 6″ to 11″ in outer diameter, the high-temp silicone cone handles -100°F to +450°F continuous use—ideal for wood stoves or hot exhausts. The rubber’s thick yet pliable, with cut lines clearly marked (tin snips did the trick). The aluminum base shaped nicely over my corrugated roof, locking into the ridges with minimal effort.Installation was a snap. I used high-temp silicone sealant (Rutland 500°F) under the base and fastened it with self-tapping roofing screws. After a month of rain and fires hitting 400°F at the pipe, it’s leak-free and shows no heat damage. Safety-wise, it’s a relief knowing the silicone won’t melt or degrade under high heat like cheaper boots might—crucial when you’re venting a stove that could spark a fire if the seal fails. The gray finish blends with my silver roof, and I appreciate it being 100% USA-made by a family business in Oregon.A few notes: it doesn’t include screws or sealant, so budget for those. The base could be wider for steep pitches—my 8/12 roof made it a tight fit around the oblong hole, and a bigger size might’ve felt safer on such a slope. Compared to an EPDM boot I’ve used, this silicone one’s far superior for heat and safety, though it costs more. For metal roofs with hot pipes, this boot’s a winner—durable, adaptable, and reassuringly heat-resistant. I’d give it 4.5 stars—half off for the extra supplies needed, but rounded up to 5 for performance and peace of mind. Size it right for your pitch, and you’re set!

Cost as much as the furnace dang near, but it’s superb!!!
My wife and I decided one day we’d put up our very own log wood burner furnace in our 60x30x18 metal building ourselves. OMG! Talk about two struggling women, because we refused to say we couldn’t do it ourselves. We had been watching too much HGTv or something. LOL!!! Seriously though, the hardest struggle was trying to figure out how we were going to get the steel rivetted panels on the roof to seal up. They offer steel boots for around the pipe we found, but that wasn’t a really good option for steel-building roofs. So we went on YouTube and found the channel “Stoney Ridge Farmer” and he had a video about exactly the scenario we were attempting. In his video, he recommended this boot specifically. Long story short, this boot has held fast and not 1 single raindrop has come in. But then again I used 3 full tubes of that special heat furnace chaulking. I don’t care though, it works and this boot was perfect for the job. This boot is expensive, but saved me from stress and lost time, which I know I would have had if we’d gone with the metal-style pipe boot. Don’t be cheap and buy this boot already. Trust me, you’ll thank yourself later. You’re welcome.
