Enter the brutal and elite world of a war college for dragon riders from New York Times bestselling author Rebecca Yarros
Twenty-year-old Violet Sorrengail was supposed to enter the Scribe Quadrant, living a quiet life among books and history. Now, the commanding general—also known as her tough-as-talons mother—has ordered Violet to join the hundreds of candidates striving to become the elite of Navarre: dragon riders.
But when you’re smaller than everyone else and your body is brittle, death is only a heartbeat away…because dragons don’t bond to “fragile” humans. They incinerate them.
With fewer dragons willing to bond than cadets, most would kill Violet to better their own chances of success. The rest would kill her just for being her mother’s daughter—like Xaden Riorson, the most powerful and ruthless wingleader in the Riders Quadrant.
She’ll need every edge her wits can give her just to see the next sunrise.
Yet, with every day that passes, the war outside grows more deadly, the kingdom’s protective wards are failing, and the death toll continues to rise. Even worse, Violet begins to suspect leadership is hiding a terrible secret.
Friends, enemies, lovers. Everyone at Basgiath War College has an agenda—because once you enter, there are only two ways out: graduate or die.

Graphic audio for the win! Take your favorite book anywhere!
I absolutely loved this Audiobook! I loved the voice castings! In my opinion dramatized auto books are far superior to regular audiobooks. They help keep you engaged and bring more life to the characters! They arenât kidding when they say itâs a movie in your mind! I love reading paper books but Audio books are really nice when you have a bunch to do and canât sit down and traditionally read. I like to listen to them when Iâm driving or cleaning as a posed to listening to music!

This Boone Ripped My Soul Out – in the Best Way Possible
This Book Ripped My Soul Outâin the Best Way PossibleâFourth Wingâ (Part 1 of 2) is not just a fantasy novelâit’s an emotional rollercoaster wrapped in dragons, danger, and devastatingly good writing. From the very first chapter, I was hooked. The world is brutal and immersive, the stakes are high, and the characters? So vividly written, they feel real. I found myself screaming, gasping, andâyesâclutching the book like my life depended on it. The tension never lets up, and the romance? ð¥ Scorching. But somehow still tender and real.Violet, the heroine, is everything I didnât know I needed. Fierce, vulnerable, determinedâand deeply relatable. Watching her grow through trial after trial was both heartbreaking and empowering. And letâs talk about the plot twistsâno spoilers, but WOW. I did not see them coming. The ending of this part left me stunned and desperate for more. Itâs the kind of book you canât stop thinking about after youâve finished. (Seriously, I reread certain scenes just to feel the heartbreak again.)Pros:ð Intense, layered storytelling with emotional depthð¥ Unexpected twists that hit hardâ¤ï¸ Slow-burn romance that sizzlesðï¸ Rich worldbuilding without overwhelming detailð¥ Leaves you breathless and begging for Part 2If you love books that hurt so good, that make you fall in love with fictional characters and ache when they bleedâFourth Wing is calling your name. Buckle up. Youâre in for a ride.

10/10 I would recommend!
10/10 Highly Recommending this book, especially in graphic audio version. The story is unique, fast-pace, driven with dialogue laced with humor and well written sarcasm. What really impressed me is the lack of world building, yet how easily I was able to catapult myself into the setting. If you have not read Fourth Wing yet, please do!

Great adventure
So far I love this series. This is the first audiobook Iâve ever listened to. I really enjoyed the fact that a cast of voices was used. Unfortunately I donât think they were cast correctly. The voice actor for Violet really needs to review pronunciations before recording. Macabre is pronounced muh·kaab not muh kob ray. And I really could have done without the moaning. Really these are just minor pet peeves of mine and overall I enjoyed the audiobook.
