Customers say
Customers find these cutters to be well-made, reliable, and solidly built, with one customer noting they work particularly well on gunpla plastic. The cutters receive positive feedback for their appearance, and customers disagree on whether they are worth the money. The grip quality is a concern, as customers report they easily slip out of hands, and while some say they will last for a long time, others mention the return spring breaking after a couple of weeks.

Nipper freak here.
I see so many reviews saying as good or better then God hands. I have both GH nippers (use them all the time), Gundam Planet nippers, Tamiya, cheaper citidel nippers (in basic kit), excel, and Mr. Nippers, and various cheap side snips or nippers. I’m no expert but I think I can have a honest opinion on these.I literally bought these cause they looked cool. I like the color and construction of them. I knew right off the bat before I order them, they wouldnt compete with GH nippers (I’ve owned mine for about 2 or 3 years of light use) and I was right, they don’t. Comparing them is like comparing a Ferrari vs Chevy or Ford car. apples and oranges. Its not a fair comparison. When you pay the amount of money for GH nippers you instantly know you got your money’s worth when you use them.Sorry went on a small rant. Anyways. Yes your buying a Ford or Chevy here. They’re study and well constructed and with some love and care, will last for a long time. I bit into some thick sprues as that’s the other reason I needed them for. The thicker stuff that needs cut from time to time. You know that one spot. Every model I’ve ever done has 1 or 2 of these spots. These cut right through it. These are good nips. Don’t be scared to own multiple brands. If you enjoy building things then you know there’s a tool for every job. These can purchased by new to the hobby people. They’re sturdy enough for beginners and for people to that know their way around nippers. My biggest negatives. Grip and storing them. There isn’t a good way to store them in the open position. The spring that keeps them open…. WIDE open. I don’t like it. So I had some Velcro strips laying around. So I grabbed one and I strap almost in the fully closed position. Just 1ish mm from being closed. That way they go in my little hobby box full of tools neatly. The grip drives me nuts. I wish these had a tiny bit of stippling or soft knurling for grip. Ive had them spring out of my hands several times from slipping. I’ll think of something to eventually fix it. Thats why I hobby. All in all. Great nippers for every job. Theyre not GH nipper cutting quality, but I like them. Regardless of the two negative things I said above.TLDR: Not as good as God hands nips but they’re def worth it if you want nippers.

Let me explain to people who think $30 is a bit much for some nippers
So, if you go on any reddit that discusses citadel tools, paints, etc, the common thread of hatred revolves around over priced products and horrible habits of GW. Many would recommend cheaper alternatives that they claim would do the job just fine.In most cases this is absolutely true. Heck, if you are in a tight budget, you can get a pair of nippers that will just âdo the jobâ for probably $5.But there is a difference between a $5 pair and one such as these or the equally high end ones that can fetch for $30/40.First off the build quality is absolutely solid. The all metal build has a good weight to it, and as with others of this quality will last years. Second the head is both just the right thickness and very sharp. It requires little to no effort to cut a sprue and in this case it truly cuts! Not pinches, but cuts leaving the model undisturbed in those tight fitting areas.Would I recommend getting these specific cutters for someone new to the hobby on a budget? Absolutely not, I didnât do it myself. My first pair was a $3 plastic cheapo that âdid the jobâ but as I learned would sometimes âsqueeze and pinchâ the spruce damaging or warping the model. When I had more experience and income, I got a pair of $17 decent ones from my local hobby lobby. Much more precise, âdid the job…betterâ, but was a cheaper quality, quite small, and would sometimes pop out of my hand due to its size. After sometime Iâve moved on to these clippers and can truly appreciate the subtle differences that a quality tool makes.Overall: Can you find a pair of clippers that will suffice for much cheaper? Absolutely. Will they do as good of a job or last as long as the citadel or similar ones? Absolutely not.

Great cutters for Gunpla
The cutters feel solid but are not overly heavy and cut cleanly. They look nice and feel like they will hold up for a long time. So far I have put together one MG Gundam kit with them and they worked really well.

Comparable to Godhands with exceptions!
Absolutely love these nippers. The price is great for a product that is quite comparable to a brand like Godhands, especially for those who don’t want to dish out the $70+ for a pair of nippers but want something that is reliable and does a great job. They cut through quite well compared to a cheaper pair of nippers I bought when first starting. The only gripes I have with them are:The handles, while well made, aren’t really made for comfort. Very thin and easily slip out of your hands if you aren’t careful. There isn’t anything holding the nippers from opening all the way and the inner spring is very strong so just grabbing them and holding them can be very awkward as they want to flex out all the way, all the time. I ended up rigging them a little to stop them from extending out all the way.Other than that, great nippers for the price and they get the job done very well. Still need to do sanding and have to carefully cut out pieces with the gates attached as you aren’t going to get away without causing some stress marks on the plastic otherwise. Would definitely recommend for those that are looking for a upgrade from cheap nippers but don’t quite want to dish out for Godhands.

Great cutters, the best for modeling!
Great cutters! No issues whatsoever! If youâre cutting plastic sprues, these will last you a long time. I would not however cut metal sprues as those will ruin the fine edge. I learned a long time ago when buying hand tools of any kind, donât go cheap. The quality of these are superb, functionaly and aesthetically. As with any tool, take care of them. Oil them, occasionally sand the blades with high grit Emory cloth to maintain the edges and only cut plastic or resin sprues with them. Do this and youâll have them for a very very long time.

Bought it as a present because I saw how everything went flying out from the sprues every time they used regular pliers.I read the reviews and saw this ones are a must for people into minis, and apparently the reviews are right, now they cut the pieces “like butter” in their own words.

Theyâre very sharp and cut very well 🙂 just a bit wide for fine detail stuff like warhammers but nothing you cant sand off

oggetto perfettamente idoneo per cio’ che deve fare

The points of the cutters are slim enough to deal with parts moulded close to the sprue and sharp enough to give a clean cut. The cutter can get close enough to some parts that there is no need to file edges. The only issue I found was that the cutter is not the easiest to hold due to the finely machined metal handles. Wearing surgical gloves solved that problem for me.Overall these are the best cutters have come across and are well worth the price.
