Sam McFall –
It works fantasticâ¦
Great sticky tar based that holds down shingles that the wind has blown up. Runs in. Caulk gun just fine, I keep the tides in my pantry to keep them soft.

Solved a unique issue.
Poured a patio against a stone wall. As the concrete settled and shrunk as it does, sporadic gaps formed between the expansion joint and the irregular contour of the wall. This patch was very easy to control and as a bonus it matched the expansion joint. Ordered two more tubes just to have on hand.
DORELLA C MEADE –
Small leak
Bottom of wire on roof did very well. No leaks

Easy to use, does the job.
I purchased this to seal a leaking roof area, worked great. The price was good too. Apparently I am no longer allowed to ask a product question before buying though. Like why does one tube of this cost about $9 while if you order a two pack it’ll cost about $24? Does someone not understand math? In any case, this stuff works great and I’m buying more so that when my roof drys out I can do a more complete job of repair and use this stuff to help seal under the roof tiles.

My favorite wet patch.
Easy to use, looks good and seems very durable. This has become my favorite roof patch.

Increased workload by 3x as much time.
I ordered this, in a rush, because the product I was using (and ran out of) wasn’t available until after the project deadline. The first thing I noticed was that it had an overpowering odor. The previous product did not. It was a cross between the smell of fingernail polish and acetone. And, that night, with the windows open, the smell in the house was unavoidable. When I tried to lay it out on the roof, it wouldn’t stay where I put it. I thought that, maybe, it was too cold, but it was over 70 degrees. It was like trying to shake peanut butter off of a spoon. I had to use multiple tools to get it spread out where I wanted it, instead of just laying down a bead and spreading it later. The bead wouldn’t stay put. Sometimes it wouldn’t stick. I was spoiled because the other product went down and stayed where it was without needing to mess with it too much.It took me three times as long to finish what I’d done the day before. And, the previous product had given me very little problems. To top it all off, the previous product held the tiles down almost immediately after securing them. This Gardner-Gibson stuff did not. I had to have twice as many weights to hold EVERY repaired section down.I imagine, if this was the first product I used, I’d be grateful that it worked at all. But, since I had the opportunity to use a different product, I know better. This product will never be ordered again in this household. It’s just a time-waster and I value my time.

Instant roof waterproofer
This is blackmagic waterproffer. I applied it on a cloudy day when a mighty rainstorm was moveing in. The areas where I applied over the roof of a sunroom had dried overnight. I did not get any water leaks from the roof during the rainstorm. The very thick tar like substance that comes ot of the tube instantly attches to the surface. Since that we have had several rainstorms and the coating is still working.
