The best way to power a dash cam
I bought this to use with my Garmin Dash Cam Mini 3. I didn’t want to use the power adapter that it comes with because I only have one 12V outlet, and I wanted to be able to hide all of the unsightly wires. This allowed me to do just that. It also adds functionality as I can choose to supply power to the camera after I turn off my vehicle for either 10 minutes, 24 hours, or constantly. This way I can have it record while parked, which is the main reason I chose this one over the Dongar adapter. I know that some people may be concerned with the fact that it plugs into their vehicle’s OBD II port, but it is 100% safe. Installation was simple and easy. Just plug it in and adhere the USB port somewhere under the dash. I ran the wire from the camera up along the top of the windshield while tucking it into the headliner, down the driver’s side A-pillar (I took a few minutes to remove the A-pillar cover and zip tie the wire to existing wiring), and down under the dash. I bundled up the excess wire and zip tied it to keep things neat.

    Works perfectly
Works exactly as intended. Can’t say that about many products these days!

    Good solution
TL:DR: A good solution for not using fuse taps.I really researched this a lot before buying it for my Garmin 47 dash cam. I really didn’t want to deal with fuse taps for a hardwired solution and I didn’t want to use the 12v adapter because it would both me seeing it plugged in all the time. This was the solution. It’s plug and play basically and has a 2nd USB port if you need it.I was worried it would drain my car’s battery but I have not experienced any issues with it as of yet.

Worked okay; uninstalled due to SD message
I bought this to use the Parking Guard on my Garmin Mini2. It did work and I did get notifications from the camera, but I cannot say if it was real-time or not since I did not have it hooked up very long. For whatever reason, I started getting a “SD Card operating slowly, consider replacing” message. Made no sense to me since the card is only a few months old, it’s name brand and 256GB. I uninstalled the power cable and no more issues. Kinda disappointed.

built in battery protection, and hides power cable beautifully
This plug, dash cam placement, and cleaver cable routing makes my dahscam setup (garmin mini 3) invisible from my driving/seated positon. It has a small unobtrusive red status light that can be covered with electrical tape.

    Great Little Device
Glad I got this to install in one of our vehicles that did not have the newer auto rearview mirror. Able to hook this out in a matter of minutes and love the flexibility the device offers as well as not having to have it plugged into a cigarette lighter. Wiring was really quite simple in the Toyota Highlander and best of all no wires hanging out anywhere. Does cost a little more but for me it was worth it since gives you a clean look and you never have to worry about the power.

Easy way to supply constant power
Plugs right in to the OBD port and its low profile does not get in the way. It can be set to operate a couple of hours to a day or constant on, but still protects against over discharge of your battery. Better than splicing in or piggybacking off a fuse in the fuse box.

    Unreliable!
I got this to power a Garmin Mini 3 and it didn’t even last 2 months before it crapped out. Now all it does is flash red, which means the timer expired according to Garmin’s user manual for it. It doesn’t matter if I unplug it for a while or change between the timer settings. For $50, I would expect this cable / device to be far more reliable! Now I’m not sure if I should buy another or figure something else out. I had it set to 24 hours and I’m thinking I should have just put it to on infinite.

Do jedneg USB mam podłączona kamerę, do drugieg GPS tracker.
