Customizable Pergola
Very happy with product so far â giving 5 stars – but need to see how it holds up with rain and wind. Seems sturdy enough.Install direction were a little sparse, but was easy enough to put together. One box was damaged in shipping and they quickly sent out replacement. Great service in addressing the issue.I put it together myself, but had my handyman customize a bit – to raise the height, and add fans and lighting.Happy with it so far.

Great product horrible instruction
The pergola is great. I put this together by myself using several ladders. I recommend having a second person. The instruction were horrible when it came to the more technical parts requiring assembly. All you have are pictures and some of the screws and bolts are mislabeled in the instruction. I hated the assembly process for that reason. Wasted a lot of my time. I give the pergola itself 5 stars. The company and their instructions 2 stars

NOT EASY TO ASSEMBLE!
The products directions are difficult to understand. And there customer service is no help at all.! After several attempts to get there help, all they did was send us another instruction booklet ð¡.For that reason I would never purchase from them again.

Good, but could be better
Purchased the 12×16 and it’s a pretty good size and price. It did not ship directly from amazon as the listing stated and it came from the east coast. It came in eight boxes that were pretty damaged including one box that was torn completely on one side and taped up somewhere before it got it me. Originally we were hesitant to open the boxes because I don’t want to open all of them only to find out that we are missing or damaged pieces that we can’t get or return it after we have opened eight boxes. After calling amazon, they were ready to return item but we decided to give Garvee a chance. We had to call them 5 times before we finally contacted them. They told us to open it up and they would ship missing or damaged items. After opening it up only two trim pieces had damage and not related to the shipping box damage. The items are pretty well packed, even with the clear outsdie damange to the boxes, the posts were not damanged. The assembly is pretty straight forward like a lego set. The videos are very good too. The one thing to watch out for is that the louver control assembly can only be assembled on ONE side. Make sure you put the post with the wholes for the lourver assembly on the side you want it. This was not clear in the documentation or video and we had to unassemble the whole thing after we had put the frame altogether. Some big issues – the pieces that hold the louvers are all made of what looks to be cheap plastic. Not sure how long it will hold up. The other issue is that the louvers are clipped in to tese plastic pieces without being bolted or screwed in. I have already had a few of the louvers pop out. Not sure that this will hold up to strong winds and we don’t want aluminum louvers flying around during a wind storm do we? I think that while its not in use or during any wind, the louvers will need to be closed. Or maybe use some adhesive glue to attach the louver to the plastic piece after its clipped in.
