Great lights, and work better with a diffuser!

Impressive Quality â Worth the Price
I bought the shorter version of this Govee light strip and honestly wish I couldâve gone longer, but the price was just out of my range at the time. That said, the strip I got is fantastic. It connected to the app with zero issues, and the Bluetooth/Wi-Fi controls are super responsive. The Govee app itself is extremely user friendly and packed with features, tons of pre-set color scenes, custom options, timers, and even music sync. The lights are bright, vibrant, and transition smoothly. It’s by far the best lighting setup Iâve used.

Great but non-standard width. Be warned if buying a diffuser.
The strip functions and illumination are great but finding a diffuser and a light strip channel to fit it was a nightmare. The standard width for generic and common strips is 10mm, including some of the basic Govee ones. But this Light Strip Pro 2 is 13mm wide. I managed to find a diffuser meant for 10mm but was made in way that I could force it to stick in there without having to unpeel the adhesive but still a HUGE pain. Besides that, it works as intended and I use it for mood lighting and basic lighting of areas where I feel I need more overhead light. Btw, if you get a glass shelf for a custom led shelf type deal, I suggest frosted or textured. I got clear glass and I get this effect where it just shines straight through without lighting up what’s on the shelf that great, I regret not getting frosted glass, it may have lit up the whole shelf if it were. Food for thought.

Govee is easily the best manufacturer of these types of lights.The app could use a bit more thought and design for more intuitive use but the more thing is that these lights just work. Easy to set up, easy to connect new lights to the app, and they largely stay connected.

Short lived solution < 4 months Good color and illumination for the 3 1/2 months it worked. Installed in protected indoor environment, free from any moisture, heat, and damage, just no longer functions. Swapped power supply, no dice. Buying twice is too expensive, should have stuck to Hue.

Superb lights, but unless they are on sale, they are overpriced. With Govee you are not only paying for a quality light product, but you are paying for the Govee app and ecosystem which is next to none. These are currently their best traditional LED strip lights. At 60 leds per meter, animations are smooth, and can be made seamless when paired with spotless diffuser channels like the Muzata U108, or the U109 (if they ever come to Canada). I also appreciate the dedicated cool and warm white LEDs that provide vastly better whites than can be achieved by RGB alone. They can be cut short or connected to a second strip. I have also read that, with a little work, they are compatible with a wled controller, but that is not something I have tried. Maybe one day. In the Govee line they are only exceeded by the exceptional, and even more expensive, COB lights.I have purchased three of these over the last year which is proof of my appreciation.
