Impressive and easy to set up
I love this device already.When I saw the description in the ad I thought of my daughter-in-law because she often takes the children out hiking and camping. After checking it out I decided to keep it for myself and I will get her another one for Christmas!I had something similar to keep track of the temperature in the garage during the winter. We occasionally have long stretches of really cold weather. And when it gets near to freezing temps in the garage I have to take steps to protect the washer.This Govee device is much superior to what I had and I love it already. It will hang in the garage during the coldest winter months while I monitor the temperature on my phone and it will go with me on trips when I have to watch hydration and temperatures.It was easy for me to set up. A detailed instruction manual was included… small print but easy enough to read. It was also easy to connect my phone via their app. I have a newer Android device. (There is also an excellent video with the ad. I did not watch it until after I had everything set up! Which is to say, it really is easy, and if you have any problems, there is a very helpful video!)The display on the device is easy to read even without backlighting. Easy as pushing a button to toggle between Celsius and Fahrenheit.I did have a small problem removing the battery cover. It’s essentially the back of the device. There is a water-resistant/proof seal around the inside. (Reminds me of the seal on some storage containers I use.) After taking the cover off and putting it back a couple of extra times, I got the feel of it and it now seems easier to remove.The app tracks four variables: Temperature, Relative Humidity, Dew Point, VPD (Vapor Pressure Deficit). The third and fourth can be turned on and off. The charts can be edited to change their order on the app display.I am very impressed!

More options than my other app based digital thermometer/hygrometer. The disconnected for a few hours and took another ~20 minutes to reconnect when I had the app on. The high water resistance and far Bluetooth range are tempting me to go hide this outside while the lcd display makes it a nice indoor accessory. I’m looking forward to developing a more intuitive grasp of the vpd and dew point readings.The temps from both of my thermometers are closer than could be expected from looking at the spec sheets (photo).

This sensor connected instantly, and the app interface for it is clean, intuitive, and refreshingly free of clutter. You get access to configurable graphs that make it easy to visualize trends over timeâperfect for anyone who wants to track microclimates, optimize indoor comfort, or just geek out on data.Compared to my Nest thermostat, this sensor is spot-on. What really surprised me was how quickly it reacts: pick it up and the humidity spikes almost immediately from your breath. That suggests a high sampling frequency, though Govee doesnât specify the exact rate. For real-time monitoring, itâs impressively responsive.Even if youâre not sure what youâll do with the data, itâs thereâready to be exported and analyzed later. Whether you’re tracking seasonal shifts, monitoring greenhouse conditions, or just satisfying your curiosity, this sensor gives you the raw material to work with.The only real nitpick is the lack of a backlight on the display. While the app covers most use cases, a backlight would make quick nighttime checks easier. Still, itâs a small tradeoff for an otherwise excellent tool.

Good local temperature monitor
The thermometer is nice, and conveniently small. However, it does not currently pair to any of the gateways currently available from Govee. So you can either look at the screen to find the temperature or connect to it via Bluetooth. But thereâs no way to get it on the Wi-Fi.

Top tier device at a bargain price
Govee products are awesome! I have yet to try one that I wasn’t thoroughly impressed with and this is no exception!First, this thing is pretty small compared to most all – weather thermometers. It will fit nearly anywhere you want to put it, either indoors or out. Super happy with how easy it is to add to your smart home with the Govee app as well. It shows current temperature and humidity levels, both on the display and through the app, which means you can see what the temperature is regardless of whether you are there or not.I have other thermometers from this brand and the battery life on all of them is fantastic so I would anticipate this being the same. In comparison with those other thermometers, it seems to be quite accurate as well. You can connect to it from the app with Bluetooth, and it will keep a history of both temperature and humidity. It will even alert you through the app when the battery is low, but I don’t expect that will happen very often.You can’t beat the features for the price and this is another home run from Govee!
