    Great Grimm’s Stories
I have always enjoyed fairy book stories and I always read them to my kids growing up, but, the stories I read to my children were not the originals. I liked the Disney take on the stories. But for myself I love the originals just as much and I love the Grimm Television show even better. I would really like to get all of them because they are so great.

    Unique type of stories
Read all of the stories. Found them enjoyable but a bit different from other stories and fables. They maintain your interest.

    Fabulous Original Stories
Though I wouldn’t read this to young children without changing some parts, I bought it as a good read for myself. Great stories, can easily see why they were written for adults. Just what I was looking for. Precisely perfect. Thank you.

    A Peek Into Another World
Grimm’s is a classic, and while it is not for the youngest among us, it is not a graphic horror show. It relies on your imagination and it’s easy to visualize most of the creatures that are incorporated into the story-line. I am an Edgar Allan Poe fan, so it was easy to get into Grimm’s, however it is not as “darkly” written as Poe’s works.

Thoughtfully put together. Featuring some Arthur Rackham illustrations. I had half expected a few accompanying facts about each fairy tale, but there were some links to follow included, so I will check that out. There were some interesting facts about the brothers themselves, and a picture of the museum that has been created from the house where they lived , in Steinau, Germany. I loved the cover art. Good job Redskull publishing.

Yay… the original Faerie tales, noir from the grim dark side, when healthy fear inspired survival instincts in children to keep them safe from danger dressed up to look pretty. 🙂

The stories still feel a bit watered down from the original German (which I have read). But they are closer than the versions I grew up with in the USA.Overall, it’s a worthwhile collection for the non-politically correct.

If you live fairy tales, you’ll love this series. If you think a little differently to most you will love this series. Takes you right back to childhood memories you’ve forgotten about. Makes you look at fairy tales in a completely different light.
