It all started in a garage.
Working on two products to begin with, Nick brought in four extra pairs of hands to help him design a mini fan, and the world’s first cordless power sweeper. 24 years later, three of these original four employees still work at Gtech now!

Unique looking and well made.
What a unique power drill. The case it comes with is heavy duty. The black with gold trim on the gun, two batteries and charger make it look very expensive. This kit would make a great gift for anyone. Itâs so different looking from other drill guns. It feels like it looks, very sturdy & well made.

A Good Quality Drill
My previous drill had seen its last days. It worked, but sparks flew from the motor when used. I was, of course, a little concerned about this potential fire hazard, so I had been on the lookout recently for a new drill. I do not know much about this company, but they seem to have fairly good reviews online. I have only used it a few times, and it works fine. If something happens down the road, I will post an updated review. For the time being, the drill works as expected. No sparks from the motor. I like that it has settings for drilling and turning screws. It comes with a battery, charger, drill, and directions inside of a very sturdy and durable carrying case. My previous drill came in a zipped bag. I really like the case for this drill. Everything has its special compartment inside of the case, so it fits nicely. My only two complaints are that the first one I received did not work. Either the charger was bad or the battery. Either way, I couldn’t get a charged battery to even test the drill. I returned the first drill. The second one charged no problem and works as expected. My other issue is that the drill does not come with any drill bits, phillips head attachments, or regular attachments for tightening screws. You will need to buy these separately. I already have a nice set of drill bits and attachments, so this was not a problem for me. Please be aware though, if this is your first drill, make sure to order the attachments and drill bits separately, or you won’t be starting work immediately.Recommended with these two caveats.

Handy Drill with Just the Right Power
The Gtech combi drill is lightweight, well-balanced, and surprisingly powerful for home use. Itâs perfect for basic DIY tasks like hanging shelves or assembling furniture. The universal 20V battery charges quickly and holds a decent charge. A great tool to have on hand without breaking the bank.

Good Impact drive for projects
I recently got this impact driver, and itâs been a solid tool for my home projects. It has good torque for driving screws and comes with useful bits and accessories. It’s not the most powerful driver out there, it works well for little projects and it is certainly a good pickup for the price.

Works as intended… But.
Gtech Cordless Impact Driver. Kit includes the driver, battery charger and a single 20v 2.0Ah battery. The driver itself seems to have a decently powerful motor delivering a good amount of torque. The trigger is a variable speed trigger with good control. The driver uses 1/4″ Hex head bits exclusively. When driving a screw or bolt and the impact mode engages the Hex bit is likely to lock up and becomes difficult to remove. Another reviewer has posted a video on this issue and how to resolve it. I’ve found that just putting it into reverse and giving the trigger a half second squeeze will usually release the bit from lock up.The whole kit comes in a stylish Black and Gold finish. Now for the life of me I can’t understand the high price for such an average tool despite its great looking paint job. Any name brand cordless tool manufacturer offers the same tool at nearly half the price and when on sale it’s not hard to find tool combos, Drill and Impact driver nearer $100 rather than $200 which is the price point for this Gtech tool. Beyond that issue, a spare battery fitting this was not an easy find during a quick online search. Pretty, overpriced and nothing special. 3 stars.

Well Balanced All Purpose Driver with some Good Features
This well made driver/drill by Gtech is replacing my older Makita driver that has served me for many years. I like having a smaller driver for general purpose use and this one appears to be a great upgrade. The balance of the tool makes this very comfortable to use and its small size gives it an advantage in tight spaces. The kit is fairly basic but includes a storage case, one battery and a charger. One thing I’ve not seen often is the ability to charge the battery via USB-C should the situation arise. I was not previously familiar with this British company but the quality of the build does appear fairly sound. The variable speed trigger works smoothly so you have good control of the speed when needed. The max RPM is fairly high as drivers go which is great for high speed drilling. The 1/4″ hex chuck works smoothly with my accessories and I also have a keyless chuck that I can use with it for standard drill bits. The battery has a fairly good run time but I have yet to get a spare for extended use. With the multitude of battery tools that I own, as far as I can tell, this one is only compatible with the 20V G-tech battery. I did notice that the battery ran down from full when stored for a few weeks which is a little unusual. I also found that the charger won’t immediately charge the battery if it is below a certain level. I tried using the USB-C port which did accept a charge, and one minute of that was enough to allow the regular charger to work normally. The product has come down from the list price of $199.99 to $99.99 but this is still on the high side compared with similar brand name tools. At that price I would have expected a brushless motor but this uses a brushed motor that you can sometimes see sparking during operation. Despite these negative observations, I do like the look, feel and function of this driver so I’ll give it 4 stars.
