Recommended for high rise living
Bought this becusee I live in a high rise and want to be able to evacuate through flames, if necessary. I keep it by the bed along with a fire proof pouch holding essentials like passport and cash, in case there’s nothing left.This blanket can also be used to smother small fires. Recommend buying a smaller size to smother fires. This size can be too heavy to toss around.Haven’t had to use it, knock wood. It seems large and substantial enough to provide protection evacuating through flames. If there’s time, recommend jumping in the shower to wet down your clothes before covering up with this blanket and running through fire.Another item that would be useful is a rebreather/respirator to avoid smoke inhallation. Used in naval ships at sea, they are expensive and have to be handled with caution. Another option is bottled air, also expensive.

I never dreamed I would actually put this fire blanket to use when I purchased it several years ago after watching a video on Facebook. At that time, I bought them as Christmas gifts and kept one for myself. Last week I had the unfortunate experience of having my laptop go up in flames (donât ever use a third-party battery). The blanket worked exactly as advertised. I grabbed it, threw it on the fire, and it was immediately extinguished. I was even able to fold the blanket up and put it back for a future use. Donât hesitate to get this product. Buy them for all of your family and friends. It is a must have.

Yes, this is the larger size of this product, it is expensive, quality is not cheap. There are many imitators of fire blankets, I prefer the real thing. I have this mounted in my garage. I have a second in my basement for all the clutter down there.
