Heavy Duty Big Tool Rollup bag
I bought this tool roll along with a few others to see if my set of Record Power Carving Chisels would fit. These chisels have handles that have a max diameter of 1 1/8 inches. Unfortunately, these chisels won’t fit in this particular tool roll, but the carving chisels I own that have traditional octagonal handles do fit. So perhaps I will move them from their cloth rolls to this one. That all being said, these tool rolls are VERY well made. The leather is top notch and the stitching/riveting is very well done. These are definitely lifetime tool rolls. Whatever they are used for will be well protected.

Been looking for something like this for years. Best roll up I have ever seen.
I have travelled the world doing various jobs and have always wanted to get a quality leather roll up for tools. I do wood carving and I have always wanted to take my nice tools and carry them in my mountainsmith pack and have them so I could hike, carve, hike etc. Problem is, if you have sharp tools they will cut your bags to shreds. I had actually given up ever finding such a bag and wasnât going to carry a hard case. I just got this leather roll and the craftsmanship is so clear and the stitching so well done I was actually smiling at having found a great bag to permanently add to my kit. The leather not only looks great it feels way more sturdy than anything I have ever used commercially before. They offer a 101 year warranty. I doubt they get too many takers on this product. If you are looking for âthat roll upâ bag, the one you always wanted that not only was functional, but well made and looked good look no further. I would buy ANYTHING made by this company sight unseen and will be adding to my collection of their bags and other goods soon. I, for the record, bought my bag at full price, have never been in contact with this company and wrote this review because I was stunned by the quality of this bag. (Finally I must add, I lived in Mexico for a few years in an area known for leatherwork – Colima – and this bag puts everything I ever saw there to shame, even a custom one I had madeâ¦.) I will call this the best item I have purchased on amazon in years, if not ever.

Mexico
I really like my tool roll. Great leather smell. Substantial leather. Should last for years. One observation: the description states it is made in Guatemala in a little town where leather making reins king. Mine has a nice little note from its maker, Mary. The note says Made in Mexico of Mexican leather. That is not necessarily a negative, but more an observation. Hide and Drink needs to make a correction in their ad. Still, it is a fine roll at a good price. I would give it my endorsement.

Beautiful and durable
I used this tool roll for storing some woodcarving tools. It worked out very well, it has plenty of room for the tools I have and space for more. The tools are held snugly but I can remove them without difficulty. The leather looks and feels very high quality. I don’t think I could have done better if I’d had something custom made.

Beautiful product!
I have not used this item yet, as it was purchased as a Christmas gift for my nephew who is learning to turn wood. However, the item arrived in a timely manner. It is beautiful and looks very well made. The pockets on each side are off-set, so if a tool is a little longer, it’s not blocking the pocket across from it. I would say it could hold tools up to 11-ish inches long.I only gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because it hasn’t been put to use yet.

It smells great
Honestly wish I found this company sooner. Ive been slowly transitioning my tool belts and pouches from fabric to leather over the course of a year (Iâm a carpenter, my belts get trashed) and I’ve been hard pressed to find a brand with reliable, consistent products. This is that brand. Iâm literally looking for excuses to buy more things from them. Oh they got a leather folder? I could use that. Whatâs that? A journal cover? Sweet thatâll match perfectly with my measurement notes in my leather pouch on my leather belt. Seriously though, these guys are the real deal craftsmen and women. They use legitimate leather, tough stitching, rivets, they even brand it! They put in a little card with every item that says who made it. I got my own collection going lmao. I think that really contributes to how I feel about these products. I got the dudes name now. The guy who made this thing, also signed his name on this card and now itâs in my hands right now. Super awesome brand. Love the work. 10/10 would recommend. Get yourself some leather from these guys. Do it. Do it now. Right now go do it. Go do it right now.

This tool roll is made out of a soft, heavy leather and beautifully crafted. It is great for holding new style LED rechargeable flashlights, Knipex pliers/wrench that are less bulky than traditional pipe wrenches and adjustable/crescent wrenches. The only addition I would love to see would be a slightly longer version with an added zippered pouch to hold USB charging cables.

Quality is 5 star. Usefulness is 1 star. The quality, look and feel of this tool roll is great. The leather gets marred easily with use, but thatâs expected and adds to the character. The leather binding strap works fine, but the roll could also use a small handle. The real problem is that the tool slots are so narrowly stitched that only small, thin tools like screwdrivers can fit in the sleeves, and even thatâs a stretch. Really even the smallest plier is too wide. Even a utility knife is a tight squeeze.Unless youâre only putting specific, narrow handled tools into this roll, it wonât be of much practical use for you.
