Organizing and sorting tiny tools and watch bands
This is one of many, many similar organizer briefcases, and as such it’s difficult to rate it against them all. It seems fairly useful and (so far) has worked as advertised. I am using it to keep my watch tools — battery replacement, band resizing, etc. — on one side, and extra bands and bracelets on the other. Even though the separator panels are removable, accommodating longer tools (or whatever), it would be nice if at least some of the slots could also be narrowed, rather than only lengthened. It would save space that now is “wasted” on slot holding a small batch of tiny screwdrivers and prybars that can’t be altered to make the slot narrower, as well as longer. On the other hand, it looks as though most of the other choices deserve the same slight criticism. All in all, the case has successfully allowed me to sort and organize the tiny tool clutter on my desk. I store batteries in a separate case of small-part drawers, so I didn’t need this case to hold those, too, though I can see that it would work reasonably well unless you have just too many different types of batteries. The separators slide out and back in easily enough, though you want to make sure not to lose any — I am storing them in one empty slot just to keep them handy if I need to change the configuration. The case seems durable, useful as mentioned for organizing, and the fact that the two lids are transparent means you can spot what you need readily without having to open the case. Making sure each lid is snapped securely closed before flipping the case to access the other side is highly recommended! For not much outlay, this case solves some clutter and organization problems, and creates the possibility of taking my watch maintenance effort “on the road,” if needed (I don’t, but you never know). These toolboxes are made of somewhat brittle plastic (especially the lids) so I am extra careful when using them not to break with heavy storage items… but I do store screws/some light tools/etc and these boxes are great. Be careful though, if not packaged well then many come with a crack or two or broken parts so immediately open and check even if the packaging is intact – so that you find out if the box itself is broken. I have over 15 of these types of boxes with several different colors including this orange box.
