Adorable and fun
Forget all the other holidays, I am soaking up all the holiday novellas this year. Hostile for the Holidays was such a cute read and I soaked up all the Christmas cheer and good fuzzy feelings as Jasper works to woo Stella. There is banter and grand gestures galore on their way to their HEA. Stella is flying home for her sisterâs NYE wedding and finds herself sitting next to her childhood nemesis Jasper. They competed ruthlessly throughout their childhoods and heâs the last person she wanted to see. But Jasper has a secret. Heâs been secretly in love with Stella for years and heâs finally going to seize his moment and get the girl. I adored every moment of this enemies to lovers, black cat x golden retriever, unrequited and secret love, holiday novella that from start to finish has you wanting the guy to get the girl.I couldnât stop listening to this audiobook. M.K. Blackwood and Connor Crais were simply fantastic in DUET narration which only made their banter that much better. M.K. was spectacular in her disdain and banter, giving an amazing performance. Connor is always a golden retriever I love (letâs be honest, I also love him as a grump lol), and in this story, he performed all the things that make a girl swoon. I loved how hard Jasper worked to show Stella how much he loved her and this story has all the warm fuzzies of a Hallmark Christmas movie with some HEAT! I adored this story so much, I raced to sign up to listen to the next in the series, even with an already overbooked month.

This was a short, enjoyable read. The enemies to lovers was better than most other books of the same genre. The things Jasper did for Stella were loving and sweet. I recommend this book.

ð:5 ð¶ï¸:2 ðï¸:5If youâre needing something to get you in the mood for the holidays.. then this. is. your. book. ðð¼ðð¼ðð¼ðð¼This is a fake dating, enemies to lovers with childhood rivals, but with a twist.. because heâs always held a candle for her and the flame never went out. ðI ate this up in one sitting, no skips, no pause.. nothing. It was incredible. The banter and teasing was top notch, and the spice was so good (letâs just say things get creative ð). These two had so much chemistry, they practically ignited in my ears. I enjoyed every single minute of this audio.MK Blackwood has become a recent favorite of mine, and itâs because of books like this. She is so good with sassy characters, and she gave Stella the voice she absolutely needed. Connor was amazing as always. As Iâve always said, hand him a phone book and heâd make it sound sexy. Loved this in duet narration!Highly recommend adding this audio to your tbl this year during Christmas season!! ð¥°

This book was just so darn adorable and entertaining.
A great example of a solid xmas novella, with a little bit of everything.Stella & Jasper. Childhood arch enemies reunited (not by choice) for the holiday season. They end up fake dating to appease the families & unwanted suitors – but plot twist, Jasper isn’t really fake-dating (AHA!!).The story is cute and straightforward. The banter is fantastic, I really love how they both teeter on the edge between love and hate. Jasper is a dream, if not a bit misguided and clingy. Stella is fierce, funny but prone to the dramatics (god knows I shouldn’t judge). Also mix in just the right amount of spice to keep this moving along at a fast clip and you have a winner.

What can be worse than being violently ill on a plane? Doing it while sitting next to your nemesis. That’s what happens to Stella. To add insult to injury, Jasper takes care of her so nicely that the flight attendant think that he’s her doting boyfriend. And, no, it doesn’t end there! Her parents, busy planning her sister’s New Year’s Eve wedding, send an old fling to pick her up! What’s a girl to do? Tell the hopeful groomsman that Jasper is her boyfriend. And, huh? He goes along with the ruse? What gives?Jasper swoops in and he’s playing the part of boyfriend too well. He has reasons too. After all, he’s been pining for his “nemesis” since the tender age of eight. He pulled her pigtails too much in the past and he won’t miss his chance now to make things right. Aw, this one jingled all the bells! I absolutely loved this ‘it’s always been you’ , childhood to adulthood enemies to lovers holiday romance. Jasper may have been a nightmare in the past, but was he really? Yeah, he was, but you and Stella forgive him for reasons. MK Blackwood and Connor Crais narrate this one in duet and it’s lovely. Connor has proved he can play alphas to perfection but this cinnamon roll hero will melt your heart. MK’s voice is melodious and soothing and she gives us a very nuanced performance as the feisty, skittish Stella. With each audiobook I listen to narrated by her, she goes a million steps higher in the favorite scale. And these two together? Pure magic. I loved this one! Spend the holidays with some fake dating, lots of banter, steamy kisses, wrapping presents, weddings and a lovely HEA.Heartwarming fun!Â
