Works and looks flawless with my MacBook Pro
Be warned, the 27″ is much bigger than I expected! After getting used to it, I’m very happy with the size. It does also give me the option to mount it (via an adapter) in the future without it feeling too small.WHAT’S IN THE BOX:It arrives with a 2-piece, “no tools needed” stand, a power supply, and an HDMI cable. A software disk and manual were also included, but I didn’t bother with those at all.PLUG & PLAY:After sliding the stand pieces together and then into the monitor, I simply plugged the HDMI into my MacBook Pro and into one of the monitor’s two HDMI ports and got the power plugged in on both ends before turning on the beautiful display! Took approximately 30 seconds to get into my MacBook’s preferences and set the display options to my liking (which was an additional screen versus mirror display).MY EXPERIENCE:I use programs that require multiple windows to be open at once and just using my 15″ Mac screen wasn’t working. Having a large screen that can accommodate multiple windows, plus a laptop screen is absolutely incredible. I frankly don’t know how I’ve gotten along without it.QUALITY:I think the picture quality is great! I’ve grown accustomed to my Mac’s beautiful Retina Display and my breathtaking 4K UHD TV, but this monitor looks fantastic. I am impressed with the relatively low price tag that accompanies the high quality as well.STYLE:Further, the “white” (and silver) color just looks wonderful with all of my Apple products. The only thing I might change is getting a white HDMI cable to further match my color scheme.TL;DR:Easy set up, great display, “white” color coordinates with Apple products, the quality and number of reviews on here are accurate

Great monitor for a great price!
I got this as a replacement to an aging Samsung 26″ TN monitor. The difference was startling! To take a step back, I found this monitor after several weeks of research. It was also recommended by (https://pcmonitors.info/recommendations/) at the time of purchase (Feb 2016). This site does a great job of explaining the technology behind monitors and justifying their recommendations, which are based more on real world use and performance than marketing. My primary use is with a PS4, but I also use it for my PC and as an additional monitor for my work laptop. The response time and input delays are negligible for 60 FPS (framer per second) gaming (I tested with mostly Call of Duty and Guitar Hero). As a side note, it even improved the overall look and feel of games that ran in 30 fps (Bloodborne and Destiny). But the real areas where this monitor shines is the color quality. It was a stunning difference between my TN display (which cost $400). I compared several games, movies, pictures, etc. and this monitor produced a better looking output every time. The range of colors was expanded and the depth of blacks and the brightness of whites are solid. I spent the first several hours just marveling at the quality of the image on the screen. The monitor itself looks great. The screen is a middle ground between glossy and matte. It has a good amount of settings to tweak the picture to you’re personal taste, but not too many to get overwhelmed. The build quality is decent. The stand feels a bit flimsy. The screen leaves a black border around the sides and top, but not the bottom. I found this odd. There are 3 inputs: 2 HDMI and 1 VGA. If your PC input is DVI (like mine) you’ll need an adapter or use the VGA.Overall, this monitor is fantastic for the price (I paid $200). I checked other monitors in the $275-$325 range that had no advantage over this one.

Best 1080p Display for the Price at this Size (27 inch)
Honestly this is a 4.5 star monitor and I’ll explain why. I’m a photographer that needed extra viewing space for reviewing my edits and an IPS display was mandatory. I could have gone with any other brand but to be honest I’ve been an HP fan since I was a kid, although I do prefer Macs for my computing/photography needs. I was not going to drop a boatload of money on a 27 inch Thunderbolt display and figured for my needs that a 1080p display will get me by for what I do.This monitor will not disappoint the average and above average crowd. Out of the box the colors are spot on and I find it a plus that this monitor is Technicolor certified (meaning colors will be close to perfect in its display). Reading text is not fuzzy/blurry at all, in my opinion. I use a MacBook Pro 13″ with Retina Display and it’s “almost” a perfect match. I do find that the whites are not as bright and the blacks are not as black on this display which gives the Retina display that extra pop, however, I can live with that. Under normal circumstances, I would spend hours to get it just right because I’m particular to these kinds of things but because the average users, especially my clients, wouldn’t know the difference, I find it to be an advantage as it will give me an ideas what my pictures will look like on any given non retina and/or uncalibrated displays and for me that’s actually a plus.I’m glad I bought this monitor as I’ve now noticed certain details in my editing that I would have surely missed on the MacBook and the 22″ Vizio TV I was previously using. For the money this display is awesome and I enjoyed playing XBOX One on it also.So what 4.5 stars? I would have preferred a DVI port instead of the VGA port that’s on it. Yes, technically the VGA cable can carry 1080p signal no problem so it’s not a big deal. Also the screen is plastic. Although the display looks superb, I wonder how much better it would be with a glass screen, leaving me to wonder if that’s the reason why it’s missing that extra pop I mentioned previously. I do, however, like the fact that there’s very little reflection on it when shining bright light towards it. Lastly, although I’m happy it didn’t come with any, I know some people would have liked speakers on this display as well. I will say this, invest in speakers because watching movies on this display is a joy. When I do upgrade I will definitely consider a 1440p display and/or 4K. But for now this 1080p display is a gem and worth every bit of the money in my book.
