Features, abilities, and speed
I bought this HP laptop to replace my previous HP laptop.The new laptop is awesome as far as performance, speed, and features.However, The laptop I did receive has the dark Grey keyboard/numeric keypad. The laptop in the picture is the one I was hoping to receive. Other than that, the product works flawlessly.Another downside to this windows version is the Windows media player does not recognize MP3/MP4/FLAK/WAV files. I have done a complete windows update, to no avail, media player still does not recognize those particular files.

Bad Hardware Quality. Terrible OS/Hardware Pairing.
The unit lost all touchscreen ability after required Windows updates, and HP firmware updates. HP and Microsoft both blamed each other and HP ended up deciding that it was a hardware issue. They wanted me to send the unit in for “bench” repair. 8 weeks turnaround. Typical Microsoft/HP product excuses and poor performance. This happened to me three other times since 2007 with Microsoft/HP products. Completely unacceptable product support and hardware quality. Save your money and buy an Apple or Samsung Chromebook machine. More expensive, but at least those machines actually work.

Great buy- but lighted keys would make it better!
Easy to set up, touchscreen is a great addition. Nice and bright, but too much bright screen time depletes the battery, so best when plugged in. Feels lightweight but durable, hoping it stands up to regular travel and use.Only let down was unlighted keyboard. Keys are a dark grey and letters are a thin light grey. Purchased a keystroke sticker set that will solve that issue.Intel i3-N305 with 128GB storage offers good value for basic computing needs, particularly when purchased at a discounted price point, but it’s not intended for high-performance tasks like gaming, so this low level processor is perfect for my basic computer needs.Not a big fan of all the HP and Microsoft bloatware or windows 11 proprietary Edge or “S~Mode” , but due diligence gets that mostly removed or deactivated. So far happy with this unit up. Great price on this one too!

Why did you pick this product vs others?:I love it. As a new retiree, I needed to turn in my work laptop back to my employer and I needed to purchase one just as reliable. It’s just what I was expecting; and at a price that did not break the bank! Couldn’t be happier 🙂

A large screen but light weight laptop
A beautiful laptop, large screen but lightweight and slim. So far, I love it.
