The Husqvarna 115H 4G Robotic Lawn Mower features ultra-quiet, smart-mowing technology from the world leader in robotic mowing(1) to help you effortlessly achieve a beautifully cut lawn with easy control from your smart device. Perfect for small to medium lawns, this electric mower can mow up to 0.4 acre, cover 720 square feet in one hour, and run 60 minutes on a single charge. The patented guidance system automatically returns the battery powered lawn mower to its charging station when the battery is low. With its seamless connectivity, you can control the robot lawn mower from your smartphone with the Automower Connect app. The three razor-sharp blades on this automatic lawn mower cut less grass more frequently for a beautifully maintained lawn. The electric lawn mower also features an adjustable cutting system for cut heights of 2 to 3.6 inches to suit taller grasses. Collision and lift sensors stop the blades instantly when the mower is lifted. To reduce the risk of theft, Husqvarna robotic lawn mowers use a built-in alarm system that sounds if they are lifted. Great simple lawn robot but a lot of work to install
TLDR: Has worked well for 3 weeks now, but took much longer than the manual said to install, and expect the wire to break at some point and buy a toner to fix it.UPDATE: Now on year 2 of using this mower and all is well, I had a small break in the wire after coming out of winter, but easily fixed and all is working as new!—The Lawn—I bought this robot for mowing my relatively flat lawn, which is approximately 0.3 – 0.35 acres of grass. It consists of 3 areas separated by 5 foot wide passageways, with several islands of landscaping and trees. The outer perimeter was estimated at 1100 ft including all of the islands. The grass is a New England mix of tall grasses, weeds, moss, and clover, recently dethatched and airated.—The Installation—The manual says that installation only takes 2 to 5 hours to install, but that was absolutely a lie for my lawn. Maybe if you have a small rectangular lawns with no trees or beds that you need to outline with an island of boundary wire, but for my lawn it took more like 15 hours. I chose to not bury my boundary or guide wires as I figured I would need to readjust them (which I did). Most of the time was spent measure the distance from obstacles and pegging the wire into the ground. I bought additional wire and pegs before beginning and I am glad I did because although I could complete the outline of boundary wire for my lawn, I only had 10 feet left for the guide wire. I also used a peg every 1-3 feet to keep the wire from poppin up, so ordered an additional 500 pegs. I would highly recommend outlining your area one google maps and then multiplying that result by 1.3 and making sure you have that much wire. Other than the time spent installation is very simple and the instructions are through.—The Robot Configuration—For my lawn which is on the upper limits of the capabilities of this robot I have it set to run 20 hours a day. This ends up being around 12 hours of mowing. I also configured work areas that allow it to cover all of the space. These actually work better than I expected as it’s fairly consistent following the guide wire out, and although it only has 3 work areas, whatever percentage of the time not included in the work area configuration it just starts mowing near the charger like a fourth work area.—The issues—In the first week I got 3 alerts from the bot that it had been lifted, what had actually happened was it found slopes or holes at the sides of the lawn where it got stuck. I just moved the boundary wire out a little bit or filled in the hole. I also had the wire break a couple of days ago. I was able to fix this in method outlined below.—Finding and fixing a broken boundary wire—The biggest drawback to a robot like this is the boundary wire can get cut, and although mines only been running for 3 weeks my wire already was cut. To troubleshoot this I highly recommend getting a multimeter and a toner (I used this one because it is cheap https://a.co/d/h7ZeU3q). I unplugged the boundary and guide wires from the charger and used to multimeter on continuity mode to figure out which wire section had the break, in this case it was the right boundary wire. Then I attached the toner using the alligator leads to the broken wire and a long drill bit I screwed into the ground. One can then use the toner receiver to follow the wire and listen for when the beeping toner signal stops. I had to lift the wire up from the ground slightly to hear the signal as I went a long. After about 5 minutes of walking out from the charger along the wire I found spot where the signal stopped and working backwards from there I found the broken wire. I could not have done it without the toner as visually the wire looked perfectly fine, I needed to pick it up and look at the underside to see a creature had bit it in half. Once I found the break I used one of the extra wire connectors to fix it and the bot was back up in 15 minutes. Without the toner I don’t know if I would have ever fixed it.—Why I didn’t get a RTK GPS bot—There are new bots coming out now that don’t require the boundary wire and use GPS but I didn’t get one for three reasons.1. They are really expensive2. I have a lot of tree coverage and I don’t want it to lose gps and drive into the road or into my pond.3. They don’t have the track record that these old fashioned automowers do.—Results and Conclusion—Overall I am very happy with this mower, my lawn is consistently cut and over its near 200 hours of mowing I’ve only had 4 problems, 3 of which were just setup issues. It cuts the lawn to the perfect height and is pretty much silent (see the video) so it can run day and night. As long as you understand the limitations and work required in setting it up I would definitely recommend it. It’s wonderful to relax in the backyard with a drink and watch my lawn work get done for me.

Ok but Not for Bermuda grass. Not working after 3 months!!
Mower works ok and install is same as others. I had an ayi brand mower (now defunct) before so my already installed boundary wire worked fine for this one. I did install the guide wire which I now prefer to get the mower home easier. For the short while I’ve had it absolutely no errors or problems of any kind. However, I didn’t realize that this mower is a “high cut” model. Which means it’s cutting height minimum is 2” and Bermuda needs 1-1.5”. Quality and app seem good but will not adjust to proper cut height for Bermuda. You have to go to other models which are 3 times more expensive. Great mower and app but seems like a big mistake to me to have this model platform to not adjust to .75” cut height.I took mine apart and was able to make mine cut lower. Would be very simple for husqvarna to make a low cut version. Hopefully they will.04-24Mower randomly stays on charger and says parked while in the middle of a mowing schedule. Lots of areas missed in yard. Needs a lot of mowing time but spends the majority on the charger. Battery does not last long enough. Figured out that part of the issue was the weather app smart feature was causing the pause and park issues. Had to turn it off on the website and not through the app.05-24Grass is looking good generally. However, the mower spends to much time charging or going to charger and not actually mowing. Also does not have an edge feature so just randomly mows the boundary leaving edges of yard sloppy.

    Lawn Roomba… simple as that.
1st impression – Beautiful machine, fairly simple setup ( there is the sim card version & the Bluetooth version -115H). I bought the Bluetooth version. I’m not sure how to distinguish between the two, other than the older version is Bluetooth. As such, there are 2 ways to connect, one for each version. ???* The worst part of this automot is the border wire & guide wire installation. Extremely simple, yet tedious (and for an old man hard on the knees and back). I did the above ground install. I didn’t receive the install guide measuring ruler (probably did but it is hidden in the actual box it came in – don’t throw away the box – look at the opening flaps, they are perforated for remova**). Even without them (maybe more so) the install is simple. Things it can drive over – give a hand-span, things it will hit (anything over an 2 inch tall ) give an elbow-span. You will mess up the first install, but they give you so much wire and you can use simple “twist-connects with electric tape or buy a cheaper version of their “3 way connects” to add wire where needed so that it’s not a big concern (except for the knees and back) . I’ve had the border wire severed twice. Not sure how, perhaps the mower, perhaps, as I suspect, hungry Ibis. Simple repair when found (walk the line occasionally as maintenance). Use twist tie connectors and electric tape or their’s or generic 3 way connects. Barny – (Fred does the backyard) has gotten stuck once on the guide wire – the ground will push out the spikes and wire at first and I’ve had to reset/respike several places. Again walk the lines once a week for the first month then once a month after. Of course I also forgot to add the loop to connect the guide wire. Again just like a wire being severed, a simple repair with a twist connect and electrical tape or a three-way connect and an additional length of a about 3-4inches of wire. If you forget or choose not to make an “island”, you can add it later via cord addition as I stated above. It will bump off things like a Roomba and the basic version 115H (H = High – don’t buy anything that won’t cut at least 3″ high if in Florida – plenty of competition but mind the cutting height) is straight up stupid, but the algorithm willcover your yard. The “secondary” function is welcome but very frustrating in practice – learning curve. When setting the guide wire be sure to take it to the furthest length of your cutting distance and through the tightest widths. Don’t be afraid to make the guidewire curve and loop except at the beginning where you want it straight to the charging pad for at least 5′. No, only one automat will function in each perimeter wire loop – serious bummer!. I have not tried but I am going to try and switch the units, as the front yard has a much higher workload than the backyard. My hope is to even the workload on the batteries of the two automots. Don’t think of these as a lawn mower. You will have to mow the lawn before install to the shortest length you wish. After which these automots will maintain that length. You will have to adjust they’re cutting frequency as needed.*Auto connect vs home connect ?** I bought a second automat (1st was Fred via Amazon & 2nd direct from Husqvarna was Barney – Amazon raised the price so I bought cheaper from the source). To be continued..

So far, so good! My backyard is 14,000sqft and this had done a great job keeping it cut. Super quiet, sturdy and gets up some steeper hills like a champ. Saved me 2hrs a weekend. Now I just grab a coffee on Saturday morning, stand on my deck and supervise this little guy doing a good job.

This particular model is pretty effective at mowing a lawn. I’ve encountered some issues (it can get stuck in places, it needs to run continuously to maintain it’s maximum recommended area, it’s perhaps not completely autonomous) but after using with it (over some time) and fine tuning the loop wire configuration it really feels like an critical part of a range of lawncare products.Currently I am operating this model on a rural acreage outside Edmonton, AB Canada and it runs well in a variety of weather conditions (rain, lightning, wind) and is very quiet. It’s not perfect but it does allow me to keep a good size lawn under control.

Merci
