Great bottle for runners
Best running water bottle on the market, easy to carry with the thumb loop doesnât leak, holds the right amount of water, easy the use. Fits in your pocket when collapsed. Durability is great as I have dropped it multiple times on my runs.

Good flask, horrible strap
The flask itself is pretty good. The handheld strap, however, is worse than useless. The material is rough around the edges, literally, and is narrow, so a full flask digs into your hand more than it should. I ended up repurposing an old Orange Mud handheld, which works far better. Hydrapak, take note. The “speed” flip-open lid is a bit of a gimmick. Another reviewer pointed out that keeping the lid attached means youâre less likely to grab the wrong one at a race aid station, which is a fair point. But the tab is so stubborn that I usually just unscrew the whole thing out of frustration, making the flip-top feature useless. And even if you do manage to pop it open, the spout is much narrower than the actual flask opening, meaning ice cubes are pretty much out of the questionâso much for insulation helping with cold drinks. Not that it matters much, since the insulation does not seem to make a noticeable difference anyway. On the upside, the insulation does make the flask more structured, which helps when tossing it in the dishwasher. If youâre thinking about getting one, save yourself a few bucks and skip the version with the strap.

Pretty Good
Overall itâs a good lightweight water bottle that is easy to drink out of while running. It works best during my recovery and long runs. I find that it flops around a lot in my hand if I am doing a speed run, which is annoying and distracting. I have squeezed the life out of it and it never leaks or pops open.

Huge downgrade
This is a major downgrade from the previous designs. Â The thumb loop itself isnât bad at all, itâs the main strap. Â The main strap is hard and abrasive on the skin making it itchy to wear and causes redness. Â The sides of the Velcro are what is ruining this, itâs way too hard. Â The snap closure system on the top is worse then my old model one is, the old one gives a satisfying click when closed and dosnt require too much force to close it, the new one takes a solid amount of force without even getting an audible click when secured. Â I do not like this at all and will be buying the old gen instead.

Glad I Found This
I love this water bottle. With the OK heat this summer, running has been rough. I typically don’t carry water in cooler temps, but found myself overheating and needing hydration. Tried a Nathan’s bottle, and it was hard to squeeze to get water out while running. Also, I had to hold it in my hand. I am not a fan of holding things or having things, like a vest, on my body while I run. This water bottle is easy to hold in your hand though and I really like the collapsing feature, which makes it easier to get water out and to carry the bottle when its not full (no sloshing!). I actually expand the band, throw this over my shoulder, and wear it more like a backpack for the first half of my runs. I’d def recommend it. So far, Iâve used it on road and trail runs about 10 times, and it’s still in good shape and working well.

The Ultimate Hydration Companion for Runners and Hikers!
I recently got my hands on the HydraPak SkyFlask Speed – Collapsible Handheld Water Bottle, and it has quickly become an indispensable part of my running and hiking gear. This product is an absolute winner and easily earns a full 5-star rating! What immediately impressed me was its incredibly lightweight and ergonomic design. It fits perfectly in my hand, with an adjustable strap that keeps it secure without feeling bulky or cumbersome. The collapsible nature is genius â as you drink, it shrinks, eliminating sloshing and taking up minimal space when empty. This is a huge advantage over rigid bottles, especially on long runs or when packing light. The bite valve delivers water smoothly and efficiently, making hydration on the go effortless. There’s no fumbling or awkward tilting; just a quick squeeze and sip. I’ve used it on several trail runs and long hikes, and it has performed flawlessly every time. It’s also super easy to clean, which is a big plus for maintaining hygiene. The durability of the HydraPak material is also noteworthy. It feels tough and resilient, capable of withstanding the rigors of outdoor adventures without any leaks or concerns. For anyone serious about staying hydrated during their outdoor activities, especially runners, the HydraPak SkyFlask Speed is a game-changer. It’s comfortable, practical, durable, and makes carrying water a non-issue. This is an investment that truly enhances your outdoor experience. Highly, highly recommend!

I tried another hand bottle, but this one is way better because it collapses. Once it is empty, it is easy to refill on the fly or tuck away in a pocket. I use it for marathon training and it works great
