It is very sturdy and handles significant volume.
Doesnât leak. Stands up straight. Easy to load. Keeps compost bin Clean.Saves so much water when we donât have to run disposal. Makes it easy to divert compostable out of our landfill trash can.

Great purchase.
Fantastic buy. I used to use a metal can for my food scraps and this is a much cleaner and easier option. I still use a can for my garden composting, but for stuff that goes into the green can, these bags are great. No leaks! The bags stay in tact.

Love these bags and want other sizes!
I never review anything but I love these bags and I’ve tried many! They are sturdy, can hold a lot and are indeed leakproof.I’d love to know if you make them in larger standard household garbage bin sizes! Please do!

Great paper compost bags!
My compost service doesnât allow any form of compostable plastic and finding a paper bag that fit my compost needs was difficult. These bags check almost all the boxes!I can carry a fully loaded bag all the way to my alley compost bin without having to worry about the bag ripping or spilling. Itâs sturdy and well made.I use these bags as a liner in my countertop compost bin to save me the hassle of cleaning my bin after each use. The only downfall for me is that the bag is slightly too tall and not quite wide enough to fit seamlessly in my countertop bin. Because the bag is stiff and meant to stand on its own, itâs difficult to maneuver into my countertop bin. I donât use it as a stand alone bag because I donât like the look of a brown bag with green text sitting on my counter. If they sold a sleek countertop bin that perfectly fit these bags, Iâd buy it and give these a 5 star rating!Overall, a very good quality product that I recommend!

Smart and useful!
These are worth their pricing. We can put all food scraps, including wet scraps, even a chicken carcass, in these bags (we really only go through about one a week) and there is never a leak or a smell. Plus they stand on their own and are supremely easy to use. I keep one by my cutting board with just the top edge folded over, and zero odors emerge! They are thickly lined, but not bulky and actually fairly attractive all on their own. No need to hide them. The stand alone aspect is so useful when scraping dishes into them. I love these things! Our refuse company collects them every two weeks and composts them. They are strict about what bags they accept and these are winners!

Works for new California law.
There’s a new-ish law in California that requires “recycling” organic materials. It took a while for my city to distribute the cans and get the trucks to pick it up. Most people I’ve asked about it, are just ignoring the whole thing. We can only use paper bags or toss the mess directly in the bin. These really do work for what I need: coffee grounds, eggshells, banana peels, avocado peels and pits…They say if you fold the top down it does not smell, and I find that works. Also, I worried about leaks, but somehow, they have not leaked. They seem pricey, but they do the job.

Superior Quality
I have been using it for about a week now. I am thoroughly impressed with its performance.I use each bag for 1 – 2 days depending on how much kitchen waste produced, and throughout its use, I have experienced no leaks or unpleasant odors. The bags are sturdy, reliable, and live up to their promise of being leak-resistant.Compared to other compostable bags that have a plastic feel which I used everyday for years, the Hytrend bags are a cut above the rest. They are easy to use and can stand on their own, which is a big plus. The fact that these bags are 100% compostable and plastic-free makes me feel good about doing my part for the environment.

Well made quality product
These are awesome, and helps us hold our messy food waste for green waste recycling right on our kitchen counter in our waste bin. Easy and reliable to carry to the outside bin when full. Heavyweight and strong material. Love these!
