The igloohome Deadbolt Go impressed me right out of the box. The build quality is excellent—solid construction with a good amount of weight to it, which always gives me confidence in a lock. The waterproof seals are snug and well-designed, and installation was straightforward, even for someone without much DIY experience.What really sets this system apart is the app. It’s clean, intuitive, and easy to navigate. Setting up digital keys, managing PIN codes, and customizing access schedules was all seamless. I haven’t used the optional WiFi bridge yet, but even without it, the functionality over Bluetooth has been rock-solid.Fingerprint recognition has been fast and reliable so far, and I appreciate that it’s tested to ANSI standards—something not all smart locks in this price range can claim. It feels like a product built to last.If you’re looking for a smart deadbolt with a premium feel, secure locking options, and a user-friendly app, this is a great choice. Just be aware the WiFi bridge is sold separately if you want full remote access.

Terrible Auto-Lock Design, Misleading Features, and Awful Support
I regret purchasing this lock due to its fundamentally flawed auto-lock feature and lack of basic functionality. Unlike other smart locks that use sensors or calibration to ensure the door is closed before locking, this lock relies solely on a timer. As a result, it will attempt to lock even when the door is wide open, rendering the auto-lock feature completely useless and potentially damaging to your door or frame.To make matters worse, the app doesn’t even show the lock’s status—so you have no way of knowing whether your door is actually locked or unlocked. For a smart lock, this is an unacceptable omission. It defeats the purpose of providing peace of mind when you can’t check the lock’s status remotely.The support experience is equally terrible. After reaching out multiple times, I was told this broken behavior is an “intentional design choice.” Rather than acknowledging the issue or offering solutions, they tried to pass off a clear flaw as a feature. It’s insulting to customers to disguise cost-cutting design decisions as intentional improvements.I’ve owned other locks from this brand (like the Deadbolt 2S), which had magnetic sensors to address these issues. Downgrading such critical functionality while marketing it as an upgrade is baffling.If you’re looking for a smart lock that actually works and provides basic features like knowing whether your door is locked, avoid this one at all costs. It’s poorly designed, and the company refuses to take accountability or offer meaningful resolutions.

Great door lock – works well – terrible app!
I actually love this lock, it works great and checked a lot of boxes for me. It was super easy to install.However, the thing that really lets it down is the app, which is just terrible. The thing I hate about it, is when you open the app, it does NOT tell you or show you whether or not the lock is locked, or unlocked. There is literally no way to tell, and the only way to find out is to actually cycle the lock, either open or closed, depending on what you’re trying to do. Just like the garage door, I want to be able to open the app, and simply glance at it and know that the door is either locked or unlocked. So, not having the ability to see the status of the lock at any given time is very annoying! In addition, the activity logs do not update automatically in the background, and you have to go in and manually update the logs every time you open the app if you want to be able to see the activity of the lock. If they just fixed these most basic things in the app, I’d give it five stars, but as-is, I can’t justify it. Very poorly thought through and needs work.
