Great fit and makes quite a difference!
Great improvement over the one that comes originally installed. Catches a lot more sawdust but of course not all.I have a shopvac attached to it and it work well with it (turns on when saw turns on).Installation was a breeze, nice snug fit and the adapters that come with it are nice quality 3D prints that gives you the option on fitting various different hoses to it.Comes with additional rubber in case one of them geta caught between the wood and blade which is nice.Recommend to anyone who wants to minimize saw dust in their shop jut highly recommend having it installed to a shopvac also.

Nice product.
Easy install. Took a bit to orient myself to the pictures in the installation instructions. You will need a right angle ratcheting bit driver to remove one of the T30 torx screws.

Poor instructions, no video, flap shreds repeatedly
Incomplete instructions do not mention that you must remove completely rear metal blade guard. Also, just like the Shop Nation version, the flap gets shredded by the saw blade in a number of situations, which is a pain since it’s difficult to attach a new flap without removing the unit and then reinstalling it again. I also found the lack of a video an issue, since not everyone is necessarily familiar enough with the saw to follow the minimal instructions provided. Also, once you attach the shop vac adapter with the twist lock, don’t bother to ever try to get it off if you need to use a different size. I’d have to use a saw to cut the adapter away, then break the remaining pieces to ever get it off!I will note, however, that quickly after I contacted the seller about the poor quality of the images on the instruction sheet, they sent me a PDF version of the manual, as well as graphic files of both images.All in all, I am disappointed in the product, although it worked well before the flap shredded, having to buy multiple flaps and disassemble and reassembly the system to replace the flaps isn’t worth the effort or the cost.

OK, but doesn’t capture more dust than the factory solution.
I really hoped this would be a great solution that would improve the amount of dust collected. Unfortunately, it’s no better than what DeWALT provides. I did some careful measurement using both systems and found that both solutions capture about the same amount of dust – maybe 40% of what the saw produces. Most flies out the back of the saw, behind where either the DeWALT or this solution can capture it.My test method: use my 6HP, 14 gallon shop vac to clean the saw and surrounding areas. Then I cleaned the shop vac including the filter. I then attached the clean shop vac, made 10 cuts at the maximum board with the saw can do, then weighed the dust in the shop vac and that I again cleaned up from around the saw. 60% by weight was spread around the saw; 40% was in the shop vac. I then installed this new system and did the same test, with the same result.What finally solved the problem was cutting a hole in the table I attach my saw to, fitting the dust port from my 8″ jointer to the bottom of the table, attaching its 4″ port to my dust collection system, and using that to vacuum dust from the bottom of the saw and this new solution to capture dust coming off the blade. Now I have 95% of the dust collected, but again – most of that is from under the saw.There are other solutions similar to this that also come with a short length of hose so you can attach your shop vac hose at the motor where there is less rotation. If I had it to do again, I would buy that solution rather than this. I think there is enough torque from having a heavy length of hose sticking directly out right near the blade that this solution might break very quickly. To solve this, I went to a used tools store and found a length of 1-1/4″ shop vac hose for fifty cents, heated it with my heat gun, and stretched two of the adapters that came with this to both ends. Then I zip-tied the 2-1/2″ end to the motor power cord to hold it in place. This results in the large shop vac hose connecting at a place where there is less rotation, and less torque, and I think that will keep it from breaking.The one advantage of this and similar after-market solutions is that it shortens the total saw depth by about 6″. That is worthwhile, so I will keep this.
