Easy to Use, Nice Finish, Study Gate
I’ve purchased 3 of these gates over the past year to use in different parts of my home. This gate is versatile, looks great, and functions well. The one I got a year ago looks just like my newer ones, so it’s barely worn, despite consistent use by our family of 5.Another thing I like is that the bars are close enough together that my 10ib chihuhua can’t get between them, so this gate has functioned for dog and baby alike. We’ve installed one at the top of our stairs, in our living room, and in the doorway to the kitchen. Now I can corner off the dogs when guests come to the door, keep the baby safe in one room when I step away from a minute to grab something, and rest assured that no one will fall down the stairs as long as this sturdy gate is properly latched!For those of you with cats, no worries! Your kitty will jump right over this, she’s even fine getting over the one at the top of the stairs, no need for a gate with a special pet door.

Finally, a baby gate that worked for my needs… keep the cat downstairs!
I have been searching for a baby gate for a simple but specific purpose – keep one 15 lb cat downstairs (where the master bedroom is) while allowing my grandson (who lives with me) easy access to go up and down the stairs to/from his bedroom, bathroom and loft. I tried (aka wasted money on) two other baby gates that were either impossible to install at the bottom of the stairs or so much trouble to go in and out of that it was painful for my grandson. This one worked. It was easy to install at the bottom of my stairs. It is easy for my grandson to go in and out. It is sturdy. It is attractive. The bars are spaced in a manner so the cat (11 years old and a bit chubby) can’t wiggle through. Important note: a younger, more slender cat might be able to jump the gate due to its height, but my cat isn’t that ambitious. My stress level has gone down as I now don’t have to deal with the cat clawing at the carpet on the stairs or wonder where she has disappeared to as she can’t go upstairs. And, I didn’t have to remove the carpet on the stairs and replace with vinyl, which I was afraid would have to be my next step. Gate is working. Yay! My blood pressure thanks you for the stress reduction.

Itâs a gate not great
Easy install and itâs held up so far. It seems fairly flimsy and itâs noisy. The handle creaks when squeezing it. The hinges squeak when opening and closing it. It rattles when bumped. Itâs getting looser the more itâs used and seems it may not hold up as long as itâs going to be needed for. The wood part is fine but all the hardware seems cheap and not good quality. The finish is rubbing off where the gate is overlapping for movement. There could have been some protection added here and this also squeaks. I pinched my finger in the handle a few times and got a nice blood blister once. My toddler does grab it and shake it pretty good once in awhile so Iâm sure that isnât helping it any but would think this is expected and designed for some abuse. I was hoping it would have been heavier duty. It looks good.

Attractive and functional gate!
I love this gate! I doubt it is perfect, but I rated it 5 stars because it is the best I have seen out there for what I’m looking for. We have 4 different gates, and this one is great. We initially got it for the top of our stairs to keep our baby safe, and we also have a dog and cats. Originally, we had a metal pet gate with a cat door at the top of the stairs, but this is so much better! And this gate works great for all of us. It is wall-mounted, which is recommended for top of the stairs (safe for children). It is also a swing gate, so there is nothing to step over or risk tripping on (great for us people). Furthermore, it swings all the way open (so we can leave it open when we don’t need or want the gate up). Additionally, you can mount at at your preferred height, so it works with different floor trims and you can make sure it is the right size to let small things under (cats or small dogs) while keeping the child out. We also use this gate to keep our dog out of certain areas, so it is a great dog gate too (no damages so far, but I doubt he’s tried). As a bonus, it is attractive. We liked it so much that we got a second gate for the bottom of the stairs, mainly to keep our now toddler from bolting upstairs whenever she wants to (every day) but also for the dog.

Great Wide Swing Gate Solution – Easy to Install – Easy Pass through
Great Gate for the price. Unite has good build quality and gives us peace of mind, helping to keep our two large dogs away from the door.The locking mechanism is easy to use and sturdy.As long as you have the gate lined up properly the door can swing open normally with ease.Recommend using a level and a line marker when installing to ensure everything is level and use the wall anchors! If you do that everything should fit properly and the door will phase ease of movement.

This is the third baby gate that I have purchased, and it is the best one I bought. Short review: If you need one for the top of stairs, I highly recommend it, but do use your own screws as others have suggested.Pros* This is nicely built, and looks and works well.* Compared to other gates I have used, this opens and closes with ease.* It includes everything you need to adjust it just right, and overall feels SAFE. It includes fasteners to prevent the gate from opening in more than one direction (which is important for top of stairs).* For the price, it’s the best one out there* The design takes up little space vertically, which was actually really helpful to me because some other gates had parts that hit my banister and made them impossible to install.Cons* No instructional video and very hard to read instructions, though it’s not hard to put together.* Plastic handle should really be metal, and they need to include quality screws.Overall, this is a safe bet and works as advertised.

Me encantó! Probe varias rejas, pero ninguna se ajustaba a mis necesidades. Esta está excelente porque no solo es corrediza, si no que también se abre toda la reja hacia delante o atrás, lo cual es muy util en espacios pequeños. Otro beneficio es que no tiene una barra abajo, toda la puerta se abre y evita tropezones al bajar o subir la escalera. Finalmente el acabado de madera es muy bonito y se ve mejor que las rejas tradicionales. Definitivamente lo recomiendo.

I used this as it has the same aesthetic to my home stairs. Its secure. It has to be drilled on both side. And you have to make sure its wooden banister to banister/wall attachment.

Depending on your experience, it may be a little bit difficult to install and you may need help (but really, anyone can do it), but other than that it serves its purpose well and it is strong, resistant, and it looks good.Pretty satisfied.
