The build quality and power receive mixed feedback – while some say it holds up nicely and has plenty of power, others report it being not strong enough and having no power at all.

    IDK what I’m talking about.
I needed a body saw, and spent way too much time comparing the known-quantity IR part with all the clone import parts that were considerably less expensive. In the end, complaints of jamming blades, noise, and vibration pried the money from my hands for the IR tool. I can’t say whether it’s the *best* option but it’s a great tool. Very quiet, very little vibration, and very comfortable to use. I needed it for some work in tight quarters, and it’s small and compact enough to go most anywhere. The included blades worked great and seem durable. Could I have gotten the job done for less? Maybe. Do I regret buying a name brand tool that works perfectly? Nope.

    Works great, good quality
Works exactly like I hoped. Much better than my existing cheaper off brand. Some bogging after using a lot and once blade starts to dull. More oil and a fresh blade seems to help. Vibration isn’t bad at all and feels pretty ergonomic in the hand.

    This thing rocks!
I have a small fab shop and we build hot rods….one at a time. This is my first air recip. saw. How the hell did I ever do without one? With the fine tooth blades it will make a very fine clean cut. It removes much less material vs. a thin 3-5 inch cutoff wheel. I just used it last night to cutout an old rotted 31 Model A rear inner fender well. About 2.5 feet of gently curing cuts. Butter…..nothing but butter. Its easy to guide and keep on your marks. Cuts quick even with the fine metal blade. This is a nice and precise cutting tool. Quality fit and finish are very good. I went with a brand name for a few bucks more but not the high end heavy duty version. Typically the extra few bucks will get you more efficient air use I have found. The bottom of the line Chinese tools often gobble air but don’t have as much power. My test was on 18 gauge cold rolled. I think it would cut 16 just fine but seriously, this is not a cutoff tool. Its for sheet metal or the hard to get at bolt that needs chopping. Don’t be thinking your gonna cut eighth inch 2×4 box tube. Get a real Sawzall or chop saw. OH, this thing is also quiet compared to every other air tool we own. It has a nice happy buzz and does not chuck metal shards at your face like a cutoff tool. Love it….

    Good Value – High Quality
This is a heavy duty, very solid tool that works very well. This is only the second IR tool I’ve purchased, but I don’t think I’ll ever go back to cheap Chinese air tools. They don’t have the power and are not solidly built, so over time, I’m sure I spend more on replacing the cheap stuff.

    Unbelievable little body saw
Excellent body saw I used it to cut thru 1/8 mild steel on a front cradle. Then right after cut .060 aluminum sheet beautifully! Cut like butter I used only one blade for everything! I’m a mechanic and race car builder. You get what you pay for and this works great in very tight spaces. Powerful and solid in hand, safe and secure. Any bad reviews are purely a mishap/defect or improper use by people who can break an anvil

dont believe the fake “cant cut” reviews
I have used this saw on 18 and 16 gauge sheet metal, and it cuts like butter with zero vibration. This saw cuts very smooth and is very easy to control and follow lines. I read the reviews saying the blades it comes with being bad so i bought real IR blades at the same time, never tried the free blades so cant speak on those.I have had good luck so far with IR air tools and this is no exception, it has worked and performed as best anything could. It has next to zero vibration, cuts 18 and 16g sheet metal like butter and super easy to control and follow lines when you need precise cuts. So far a great tool well worth the price tag

So this tool works really good but remember it’s not a 7.5 amp sawzall. Good on body panels, won’t cut through a frame unless it’s a subframe for a non structural member, but, that is not what this tool is for in the first place. It’s holding up well..
