Revolutionary Desiccant Rotor
Designed to work wonders in basements, boats, RVs and other cold or semi-outdoor spaces, this new technology dehumidifies rooms as low as 33°F and as high as 104°F [1°C-40°C]. There’s no need for a loud, heavy compressor, so the expelled air is slightly warmer, making it perfect for drying clothes and more.
Winter ready: At 41°F, a desiccant rotor removes 19 pints of water per day, while a clunky compressor removes only 2.9Whisper quiet: Since it’s generally smaller and doesn’t need to defrost, the desiccant dehumidifier is nearly silent while runningWarming action: The desiccant rotor produces warm but dry air, helping you regulate room temp

Compact Portability
The dehumidifier weighs in just over 15.45 pounds, measures 19 ½” high and features a convenient built-in carry handle. A removable water reservoir holds up to 0.75 gallon (2.8L) of water, providing hours of dependable use before emptying is necessary. Connect the included hose for optional continuous drainage.

Anti-Tilt Shutoff
Multiple built-in safety features ensure the dehumidifier will never cause water damage or an electrical emergency during operation. The LCD display signals helpful reservoir alerts so you know when to drain; the internal system also monitors the unit’s stability, automatically shutting off with sudden movement.

Easy-Clean Filter
A durable filtration system effectively captures dust, dander, fibers, hair and other airborne particles that may disrupt the dehumidifier’s performance. Prolong the life of the unit by removing the back panel, taking out the filter and cleaning it thoroughly with either running water (dry completely) or a vacuum cleaner.

Advanced LCD Control
An easy-read backlit display with touch buttons grants you effortless control over your environment. Adjust the unit’s various settings to achieve ideal air conditions.
On/Off: Once powered, the unit’s smart sensors will maintain set humidity and conserve energyHumidity: Adjust in 5% increments from 35% to 85%, or choose ‘continuous’ to keep runningMode: Alternate between fan speed and heat options, and set sleep mode w/ quiet noise and dimTimer: Schedule operation duration and shutoff ahead of time anywhere from 1 to 12 hoursSwing: Adjust movement of the air vent to help clothes dry faster in cold temperaturesDim: Press to activate brightness adjustment of the backlit LCD screen for viewing comfort

Will run constantly if area not well sealed
I was getting annoyed with it because it would keep running & showing high humidity levels and making my room super hot in the process. This wasn’t jibing with the separate humidity monitor I have.I eventually noticed that there was an opening under my door about the width of a smartphone laid flat. I didn’t really think it could possibly be circulating air from an opening that size, but I blocked it off on a whim.Fast forward a couple days later, the outdoor humidity jumps super high due to rain. I then look around and I see that my humidity level is running stable and the dehumidifier is running correctly. So, I guess it proves it. It doesn’t take much of an opening to another room for this thing to circulate the air from there. It works pretty well though. I do notice that it kind of puts off a salt like smell in the room when it runs. Haven’t noticed it lately so it either went away or I just got used to it.**10/05**After 5 months of occasional use (roughly 4x a week), it’s started to rattle.

Excellent for boats
During off-season layup, boats become a haven for mildew. Thermoelectric or vapor-phase dehumidifiers fail in this application unless the boat is (expensively) kept warm. Heaters don’t work at all as they only chase moisture to colder areas of the vessel. With these units those problems are solved. Bottle up the boat, put this dessicant dehumidifier in a central space and the entire vessel will be dry after a few days, including interior hull skin in voids etc., usually impossible to dry.The unit is astoundingly effective even at very low temperatures. With belowdeck temperature at 45 degrees we’re able to bring humidity down to <20%. This means that dewpoint (the measurement of actual significance) is less than freezing point. And with such a low partial pressure of water vapor in the boat's atmosphere, void spaces will dry as well, there won't be condensation on large chunks of metal such as the engine, etc.As others have pointed out, unless there's been a design change it seems many of these develop a rattle. It's not important unless you're planning on living in the same space.Update: Just discovered that this unit quite intelligently cuts out when the space it's in falls below 35 degrees fahrenheit, good because there's no risk of water disposal becoming a problem because of freezing tubing etc.

This little dehumidifier works really well!
This is the second dehumidifier that I purchased. The first one I returned as it made no effect. I used this in a full time 5th Wheel trailer and wow, what a difference. I removed at least a tank of water a day . Made it some much easier to heat the trailer without the moisture in the air and eliminated the mold I would get as a result of moisture. It is really important when you have a closed up room like a trailer to remove the moisture from the air. It’s not too small or too big. Fairly quiet. Puts out heat as a function of working. Not enough to heat a room but I would not want to run it in the summer. Best thing about this dehumidifier is the fact that it works in such low temps. Most only work when it’s much warmer, but I kept the trailer between 58 & 68 degrees in the winter and this thing worked like a champ. The other one I never saw a drop of water in the tank.

Desiccant Failed in 3 Years
The Dehumidifier worked great for first few years. We only used it about 30 days a year or so, on days with highest humidity. It has been generally quiet. Since it is a desiccant based, it would produce a bit of warm air in the room, during its operation, which may at times be undesirable, as it would generate more heat in an already warm environment. Occasionally, the drain hose would plug at the outlet of the dehumidifier as some solid fibrous material would get stuck there. I would use forceps to remove it, but it was not a deal breaker. A deal breaker was unfortunately a recent event when the dehumidifier suddenly started producing some odor, and we noticed the black spackles all over the room, and the drain pipe would contain some brownish fluid in it. It looked like the desiccant has disintegrated. The attached images demonstrate that. See the black spackles on the last image, on top of the dehumidifier. When I contacted Ivation, I was told the unit had only 1 year warranty and there is nothing they could do except offer a 15% f ora new unit. I suggested I could send them the failed unit for their R&D to learn from but they were not interested. Hope this helps making your purchasing decision.

Very happy with the purchase
This dehumidifier does a great job for what I use it for. I use it in a 22 foot travel trailer in an area that normally has a lot of moisture in the air and I’ll be using it 24/7. I’ve had it for about two months and bought it in November so I needed a dehumidifier that would work in cold temperatures and it works great. Sometimes my trailer can get down to below 55 degrees inside and this unit still does a great job. The moisture tub in the bottom fills up about every day and a half in this application. Before I bought it I would see moisture build up on the inside of the windows in the morning when I woke up but now that is gone so I know this dehumidifier is doing it’s job.The only complaint I would have is that the fan can get just a little bit noisy sometimes. I normally run the fan on the low setting and even then when the fan gets noisy I barely notice it. Even with this I still give this unit 5 stars. I’m very glad I bought it and I recommend it for those that need a dehumidifier for colder temperatures.

I have a 900sqft (9.5ft ceiling) garage. Heated to 8C in winter. We park our daily commute car in it all winter. For years, I’ve lived with a very damp garage, wet floor for all of winter and often late into Summer before it dried up. Wet Windows with ice, sometimes mold growing on the wall corners.I tried the regular coil dehumidifiers but they would freeze up and not extract moisture.Bought this because I read that these types (desiccant) were great at low temperatures. I’m more than happy with the resultsHave this running since last October and I’ve been able to keep my garage humidity level between 35-45%. Sure if the car had been driving in snow and I park it, the humidity goes up as it melts but it dries back down within 24hrs. And the floor has seen some dries days this winter. Last week we had two good snowfalls and the floor was wait… Within 3 days, my floor was dry again, no wet spots.Have not seen wet windows or ice build up on the garage door this winter, nor have I seen any mold growth. This is perfect!!!Only downside of someone wanted to use it in a house, I find it a little noisy but it’s just too find one thing to pick at it really!!!Highly recommend for garages

This unit works great in my garage at about 10C (50F). I have had a moisture problem for years with snow melting off our cars resulting in a continually wet floor. Within 2 days this unit dropped the humidity level from 82% to 40% and my floors are completely dry. It also heats as part of the dehumidification process which is an added benefit in our garage which is insulated but not heated. I connected the drain hose to a 5 gallon pail as the water tray filled up in about 8 hours. The 5 gallon pail should take about a week to fill.

I am very impressed with this little unit. I bought it for our garage which has consistently been like a damp cellar in the fall and winter when we drive our cars in with snow and ice. We’ve had refrigerant style dehumidifiers running all winter in the past with no real effect and the walls and windows have always been dripping with condensation. This little unit has removed more moisture in two days than the other ones ever did in a week.We keep the garage at about 45° so the refrigerant dehumidifiers really don’t work well. This one does and the garage feels drier than it ever has.Edit: I am deducting one star because of the hassles with the drain line. The external drain hose supplied doesn’t fit the nipple. It’s too big, so even when the hose is installed, the internal reservoir still fills up and the unit shuts off. Sounds like a simple thing but the nipple where the hose attaches is so tight there is no room to add a hose clamp as it interferes with the internal reservoir sliding back in, and without the internal reservoir in place the unit won’t run. Such a simple thing that the manufacturer never thought through!

My machine broke cause of a power outage. The power flickered on and off 5-6 times and the machine kept turning on and off half way through it stopped I herd it from other side of house couldnât get there in time to pull the plug it fried the computer it wonât turn on no more. They told me they donât cover that and Iâve seen this before on other electronics when the power goes out they shouldnât try to turn back on but they do itâs the way they build them and they wonât reimburse for the mistake they make when building it, itâs almost like they do it purposely âcompaniesâ! They also told me my warranty was up when it wasnât if they go from the day it was shipped from them they went by the order date seems odd but Iâm pretty sure they just donât want to refund people if they can find any lame excuse, it was a good product but I wonât be doing business with Ivation no more was very disappointed and it bothered me for awhile, just so you all know you need a power bar for it, or it will break in a power outage if power flickers.

The Ivation totally works as advertised. It works great at lower temperatures with high humidity and is very quiet. I totally recommend this product.
