Beautiful Star Ceiling Light
This is such a fun light. It came with a bulb, but I may need to put a brighter one in! Itâs great value for the money. Itâs very stylish. Clear color glass and looks very durable. The install was easy and had good instructions. Itâs very functional.

Love the light, hated the installation.
If I had written this review immediately after installing the light, the score would have been much lower. Unlike a lot of flush mount lights, the star-shaped dome is connected permanently to the base. This means that you need to screw it in to the mounting while working around the globe. One side isn’t a problem because the hole is in the open V between the points. However, the opposite one is directly under the point and it is REALLY HARD to get that one in. Usually I can install a light fixture by myself pretty quickly, but this was a two person job and we spent a pretty angry half hour on that one screw.Now that it is up, I really love it. We were going for a celestial theme in the bedroom hallway, so we painted it a beautiful blue and put up glossy metalic stars. This light goes perfectly and is very dreamy and magical. The design is really lovely and it casts very pretty shadows. The lightbulb that it comes with is not especially bright, but it is nice that it comes with a bulb. When that bulb dies, I will likely replace it with something a little brighter. While I hated the construction with the star dome attached to the base, in operation it is very nice because you don’t have to take the dome off to change the bulb – one of the points is hinged so you can just open it up like a little door and change the bulb.Overall I recommend it, just have someone else assemble it for you. 🙂

Love this light fixture! I was looking for something unique to go over kitchen sink and this is perfect. It is perfect size and it is easy to replace the lightbulb without having to remove the whole fixture. The quality and value are terrific.

Perfection
I’ve waited over 2 years to purchase a light like this for my entryway and I wish I’d done it sooner. The installation was super easy and it looks better than I imagined. The shape allows it to cast a beautiful pattern throughout the entire room. A major plus is that one of the “cones” opens up allowing you to clean inside the glass and also allows you to changes bulbs without removal of any part of the fixture. All in all I would say it’s worth every penny as the quality is excellent, it can be used in any room, and the brightness of the bulb provided was perfect.

Dangerous and confusing to install/change bulb
This fixture looks nice but has two very weird and potentially dangerous design flaws:1. Mountingâthe base which holds the bulb is permanently attached to the glass shade. So to install it, you are supposed to attach the full fixture to a tiny mounting bracket with just two threaded screws. Since this is a flush mount fixture, this means trying to install two tiny screws through a 1/2â tall base into a tiny threaded hole on each side of the mounting bracket. The points of the glass âstarâ jut out, so you need to do this by touch since they block your ability to even see if the holes are lined up. Forget trying to use a screwdriver for this and even with my small hands, I could not get the bracket and fixture lined up.Normally, the base which holds the bulb is separate from the glass so you can check the wiring connections are tight and safe before securing the glass over the bulb. This design forces you to connect the wires and just hope they stay tucked in below the fixture.2. Changing the bulbâthe glass part of the fixture has a weird âhatchâ which was impossible to find without the written instructions. It is secured only by a âloopâ of soldered metal, which snaps in placeâ and will likely come loose after changing the bulb a few times.I am returning this because I am concerned that even if I am somehow able to install it, someone else will not be able to safely change the bulb or remove the fixture.Itâs also worth noting that the glass has sort of an amber tone. To me, âMercuryâ spots look more metallic but through the amber glass they really looked almost more like paint splatter.Itâs a shame because itâs still a pretty good looking fixture.
