For they’re price, they’re a competitive and competent option for Studio Monitors!!
(((Tl;dr: These are exceptional speakers and I can’t recommend them enough! They are powerful enough to balance their mids and highs, and not over compensate with lows, but don’t think for a second that the lows are weak either! A wonderful monitor speaker for beginners, intermediates, and expert audio engineers/enthusiasts!))) 🎧I’m an Audio Engineer. I formed a crush on these when I went to my mentor’s home and he played some music on them. Took me a few years to finally get them, merely because I lived in a tiny apartment at the time. A few months ago, I moved into my partners house and treated myself to them finally. I was impatiently waiting by the door the day I expected them to arrive. They arrived beautifully in tact, and well packaged. 🎧As for my review of sound quality and price range, I fell harshly in love because for their price, they are a damn good equivalent to a studio monitor set that’s twice their price range. For this I say, if you are on the fence due to money, save up and grab these. If you’re not looking to build a 100k value studio and you return to reviews and market sites to fantasize about them, go the extra mile and treat yo-self. I definitely would have if I hadn’t lived in a small apartment prior to my place now. 🎧I’m so disappointed when a good set of Listeneing gear can’t balance it’s range and overcompensates in the highs and lows…. Not these. The LP-6 is prestine throughout the frequency range. It’s got enough power to not out-do mids with highs, but your low end is not only well balanced, but beautifully powerful when it needs to be. Your blues and jazz are going to sing and your electro and hip hop will bring the energy you want to hear. They also have a built in EQ, to compensate for your Listening space. What this means is if your speakers are closer to the wall (like mine are), or they get to sit a few feet away from a wall and ideally a few feet away from the listener’s ears; there’s settings for these and other set ups. 🎧The song that sold me was when my mentor played No Doubt’s “Hella Good”. But honestly, play any song that you love the mixing of on these. The sound space is open and existent, and doesn’t feel compressed. I also suggest any John Williams score (but Duel of the Fates is ideal) to test. David Bowie’s “Space Odyssey” is another favorite audio device test song I use. If it was possible to record the experience and post it, I would but it’s not the same unless you’re in the same room as them. They’re fun for gaming as well if you do that in your free time. 🎧Some extra notes and/or help for newer audio engineers/enthusiasts: these are powered and require two available plugs into the wall (you can also get away with a dedicated extender hosting both plugs and connecting into the wall, but I would suggest they be the only things connected into the extender to ensure they recieve enough power). They also require an XLR cable each to connect your audio. I have a Presonus USB audio interface, and the speakers connect in classic L and R fashion with a XLR-to-1/4 inch into the back of the interface. I would recommend buying foam supports as well to rest the speakers on. They will help reduce your desk or resting surface from eating up frequencies, but may also help aim it towards your ears. Also, set up Phantom Center to get the most ideal sound quality! These speakers are purchased singular, and you’ll need to buy two to have a stereo set up. Set up is easy but be sure to check the manual to customize your listeneing experience. These also DO NOT automatically turn off or have a stand by function. In other words, power them on AFTER your sound source is turned on and turn them OFF when you’re done using but BEFORE you power down your computer or other set up – like you would in a real studio. I have mistakingly forgotten they were on and needed to restart my computer, and you’ll get a couple ugly pops that may startle you.. But even more so, it’s damaging to powered speakers to leave them with power running into them without an audio source. You’ll wear down your nice gear faster and no one wants that! You’ll need to manually shut them off through means of the power switches on the back so be sure you set them up so you can reach the back convientely. 🎧And because buying new gear can be stressful and often requires heavy research, I am open to help answer curiosities. Good monitor speakers
Awesome studio monitors for the price. Very accurate audio for mixing. I have a pair of Rocket 8’s and these sound a lot more consistant. I do wish they had just a little more bass though. With today’s technical advances in programs, AI and electronics, no one needs expensive monitors unless you are doing something very specific.

Heavy hitting Studio Monitor Looks Good, Sounds Great!
These are large deep speakers. I had to buy new speaker stands to fit on each side of my desk, because they didn’t fit on my old speaker stands. But it was totally worth it. These speakers put out mega-sound, with a completely neutral sound profile that somehow sounds so sublime.Very solid, extremely heavy, the Amazon delivery guy gave me a backwards look as he walked down a long flight of stairs after delivering. Then I tried to lift the box with 2 speakers in it, and nearly pulled my back. But seriously these are deep, and that depth creates a certain quality of sound thats hard to describe. Best set of speakers I’ve ever owned, and hooked up to my PC via an audio interface as well. I can play an instrument though the speakers as well, and it sounds phenomenal, I rarely plug in to my amp anymore. It’s extremely clear, absolutley no distortion, no hiss when offline, the V2 is supposed to be improved in that way. I appreciate the way that the speaker plays full fidelity even at low volumes because I’m a musician and I need to preserve my hearing. Lots of bass without being overpowing. I don’t need a subwoofer, especially for the music I play, classical to EDM.Easy to use DIP switches in the back. I found that it didn’t make much of a difference for me and my room evironment. But it might make some squiggly lines in some tests look different, so it’s probably a good thing to adjust the speakers to your room settings. I liked how each speaker has it’s own power supply, and it’s own line in. Those proprietary lines that connect speakers together are usually too short, plugs are too customized, so having truly independent speaker lines is a huge plus.I use the LP6s to stream music, watch movies from my PC, play my instrument, fiddle with synthesizer settings, and record music pieces. For function and performance it gets a solid 5 stars out of 5. I had to get the white version of the speaker, because the black ones were sold out, but the white ones are growing on me. They have a swoopy curvy design on the front panel that makes it look a little space age, starwars kind of vibe. The only possible con is their big and heavy. But I knew the dimensions going in, and the weight translates into quality so I’m very happy about this purchase.

    The best living room speakers
Excellent speakers for living room. No need for amps dacs and other nonsense. Great sound, no need for sub, goes down to 40hz. Flat frequency response and good radiation pattern. No resonance from speakers or port. Use it with WiiM media streamer. Amazing combo for 400$.

    LOVE
I did a lot of research on which monitors to buy. Initially I was going to go with Yamaha HS6’s or KRK ROKIT 6’s, but after asking for community feedback on Reddit, these were a clear favorite for someone in the $400-$600 budget range. I can see why.The ability to customize the EQ on the back is wonderful, and I love that there are pictured instructions of how to set the EQ switches based on how you plan to position the monitors. If you go to Kali’s website, they provide an even more detailed explanation. I have not acoustically treated my room yet, and they still sound amazing. To be fair, this is my first set of studio monitors, so I don’t have much to compare them to. Prior to purchasing these monitors, I was using Sony MDR-7506 headphones (which are amazing). These monitors sound just as good (if not better) than the sound coming from my headphones. To save a few bucks, I took a gamble on buying them used from Alto Music. I was really worried about getting something someone had not taken care of, but I made the right choice; they arrived in excellent condition. I wouldn’t even know they were used if someone had gifted them to me.
