Convenience and quality.
I love this Door lock.I like that it can log who comes in and out of your apartment. You can give Each person their own fingerprint or code it came with five keys And for fobs. I ordered it in August but Iâve been using it since March and have had no issues. You can delete somebodyâs fingerprint or passcode. You can put it on passage mode where it will stay unlocked for a certain time and then lock for a certain time or a certain day, thereâs so much versatility with this door lock. I also got it with the gateway so you can do things remotely Would highly recommend. Very sturdy it didnât fit my door lock perfectly so I had to do some adjustments.. Battery life is still at 100%.The fob didnât stop working after a couple months so I need to order some new ones. Other than that, I love it for its convenience and for all of the other things that allows you to do especially being disabled and having different caregivers come in and out of my house at different times. You can lock it and unlock it via your phone as well as change passcodes or delete and add fingerprints.

This lock was to install (thanks to their video) and App was easy to set up. The Sifely lock has to go on top due to the longness. The deadbolt has to go at the bottom. Your door is setup with a deeper hole on the top, which means you or a locksmith will need to chisel out a deeper hole on the bottom hole to refit your deadbolt there. Plus you’ll want to buy a different black strikeplate as this one is flimsy/ugly and silver color too boot.The only install dig is that the removable rubber backing starts to wrinkle on some edges when you start tightening the screws which kinda ruins the “tightness” of the look. You can also remove the rubber backing which easily solves that issue.Performance seems to work well. It doesn’t grab my fingerprint all the time even though I sent up my thumb in different angles and heights and saved those prints. You can always use the pinpad though which works well.The keycard works great but is too big(!) on a keychain. They should use much smaller ones and with holes as big as a key. I think I’ll buy a smaller keycard. on the internet to get what should have been included.The physical lock as a magnetic lock, which is great but didn’t include a way to open the plastic. They should have put a little indenture on the bottom to get the fingernail in there to open it. As it stands, it’s a chore taking the plastic cap off and if you do, you’ll likely mar the delicate plastic finish.To top it off, the Sifely physical key is too long! So you have a card key that’s too big and key that’s too long. Do these product designers realize how keys on a keychain look like? This objects ruin the convenience factor.Additionally, the Sifely physical lock can’t be rekeyed. Many people have ONE key to open locks from either Kwikset or Schlage, etc. But nope. You have to use their extra long key.What I’m going to do is just leave the physical key in the car. in case of emergency or a way to give energy to dead batteries to get inside. The app will advise you though when batteries are about to go out.I have this lock on my garage door coupled with the #1 rated Utec Ulock deadbolt. They both work great together.Security: This lock isn’t ANSI rated. Which means we don’t know how secure it is. But how secure are locks anyway? I saw a locksmith drill into a Schlage ANSI 1 lock in 10 seconds! So much for ratings! If a thief want to break in, he’ll go through a window or since I have glass doors, thru the door. Locks really are bubblegum –just minor deterrents. If you want real security, get a security system to line up your windows or a dog. LOL. Any security will come from the deadbolt anyways (which you should have for kickproofness).I get a lot of afternoon sun hitting this lock so it’ll be interesting to see how the electronics hold out.Despite all of my rational room for improvements, the convenience factor supercedes everything and will keep it. The other competitors also are good but also have their negativity. The electronic Schlage would be my #2 as their stuff is secure and reliable, though this product has more features.If for any reason the product fails to live up to fair level of reliability, I’ll edit this review. If you read this review after 3 years and I haven’t edited it then that means it’s still working properly. Since it’s electronic, it’s fair to hope to get 10 years. We’ll see.

Great value, excellent customer service
I am very happy with this lock. The biometric feature lets me add family members that don’t live with me, as well as being able to unlock the door through the app on my phone in addition to generating a one-time passcode if needed.I had someone help with the initial installation as boring holes through an existing doorframe just wasn’t part of my skillset. I had the lock for a year and a few months before it started having issues; it gave a notification that the batteries were low, so I replaced them, and within 2 days they were low again. I used the same batteries on another device that worked fine, but in any case, I bought more expensive batteries and got the same result. I contacted Sifely customer service and they were terrific. I wasn’t sure if my unit was even still under warranty and they never made a hassle about it–asked me for some additional info, then my order number from Amazon, and I received a new lock for free the next day. Installing it was a breeze and the company followed up with me to make sure everything was working ok. You really can’t ask for better customer service.As to the lock itself, my only complaint is that the biometric sensor doesn’t work well when there’s moisture in the air (my door is recessed and covered by a screen door, so it’s not getting soaking wet). Nevertheless, the keypad works in wet weather and that’s all I need. Highly recommend for the price and convenience.

After only 2 months, the fingerprint stopped working and locking mechanism failed to unlock. We’ve been left outside several times as none of the 5 different ways to get inside (not even the physical key) worked to unlock the door. Useless and a waste of money.
