Customers say
Customers find this screwdriver to be of good quality, particularly suitable for electrical work, and appreciate its functionality, with one customer noting it works well for making secure connections. The tool features a robust grip and reversible blade design that’s easy to switch between, and one customer mentions it doesn’t slip at all during use. Klein quality
This tools was rated best for combination, cross and square drive style screws used in outlet boxes and electric work applications, it was tested against a wide variety of other style cross and combination and phillips type drivers and was found to cam-out less often and be most reliable and has the versatility of having both #1 and #2 square drives in one tool. It has a unique locking mechanism to remove the bit by a single click of the rotating hub and the to lock the drive shaft in place simply push until it clicks.

For those who get the cap stuck in handle…. here’s my fix.
So to start. This is a nice Robertson/Square bit screwdriver. Solid. Nice to have #1 and #2 sizes. So get one. There was a customer who inadvertently got the little plastic cap stuck in the driver. That makes the thing not really work. So, I bought one that was a “Warehouse” deal. It said that it was “Inspected.” Anyway, I noticed the driver part was not seating at all in the handle. I remembered the other customer’s story about getting the cap stuck in the handle. Wondered if that was my problem. Looked into the handle to see what might be a cap stuck in the bottom. My successful solution was to get a long, wide-enough screw down into the handle. I gently threaded it into the handle and pulled. Voila. Out came the little rubber cap and now all is well in my kingdom. 🙂

Great design!
Itâs a little âplastickyâ…I suppose thatâs what Iâd expect, though, for the price. Klein is definitely a company that I wish would build tools that are 30% better quality, even though that means theyâd charge 50% more. Itâd be worth it. They have great tool ideas that are executed well. This one is no exception. I only do electrical work around my own house. If I was a professional, Iâd be concerned about the longevity of the tool…but for my use, I think itâll be great long term,

Light weight, reversible blade is handy
Great quick switch reversible blade makes it extremely handy for your tool belt.

Superb for terminal screws
I replace a lot of outlets in my job. Previously I was using a terminal head screwdriver with a large flat blade and smaller cross blade. Gave good torque but you had to take the time to line it up. With this square tip, torque is as good or better, it does not slip at all, and it goes right in with no effort. Big improvement.

Good screwdriver but..
Brand new out of package: small knick under the twisting collar, does not affect the tool, but you can obviously feel. For the flipping aspect, spring mech. is good so far. Good overall

I admit it, I’m a bit of a tool snob. Life is too short for crappy tools. And crappy tools have shortened a lot of lives. I’m very happy with my Klein insulated screwdrivers. No complaints. I really like the quick-release mechanism in the handle that lets you switch sizes by flipping the screwdriver shaft end-for-end. Easy to use, and sturdy. With three of these in your bag, (phillips, common, and square) you’re ready for most of the fasteners you’ll run across on any residential wiring work. I wouldn’t trade mine.

I had one of these break on me while I was putting a trampoline back together. I was using it to stretch the springs and it broke apart in my hand. Not itâs intended use by any means therefore I wonât knock the company. It was my own fault klein tools never disappoint. They are always top notch.

Love this multibit, I had bought the full kit 2 years prior, love the quick release mechanism, only thing if you have smaller hands, it isn’t very ergonomic compared to Wera.
