Works well with little to no smell after being sprayed.
This kit sprays on very well, similar to spraying paint out of a spray gun is the best way I can think to describe it. I put it on in 3 seperate coats, it only took about 10 minutes for it to skim over enough to easily apply another coat. The amount of expansion seems to depend on how heavy to apply the coats. There is virtually no off gassing smell other than a minor odor from the gas that is the propellant in the cans of foam as it is being sprayed on and that dissipates almost immediately. I feel like I got what I was expecting with about a 2′ – 2 1/2″ inch on average thickness overall with the aforementioned three coats. This is my first time using a product like this so I was learning as I went along. Anyone should be able to do this I would think with a small learning curve.

Easy to work with and easy to clean
This stuff was great and easy to use. Each can came with two different spray tips, and a pair of gloves. You didnât have to worry about clogging, spray, tips or cleaning them. You could just throw them away and start with a fresh tip each time. The cleaner was super easy to use and clean. You just screwed it into the top of the Gwen. Youâre done and pulled the trigger a couple of times. The products sprayed on nicely. Didnât come out too fast. This is my first time. Using a spray system like this. And I was nervous, spending so much Money and it making a mass, but it worked really good, and it was very user friendly. Really appreciated. All the safety, glasses, gloves, and suit that came with it.

Works as advertised.
Iâve used this and froth-pak 200. Hereâs an unbiased review comparison. The froth pak closed cell is tighter and firmer than this. I believe Froth advertise R value of 5 something and kraken at 4 something. I suppose becuz of the tighter foam when it dries. Froth dries quickly so you can do multiple layers in a short matter of time. Where as Kraken takes maybe 10-15 minutes to set up. If you try to do another layer before it sets, it will just blow off. Also the applicator gun on Froth can be sprayed at any angle. Whereas the kraken sits on top of the gun and if you angle it to the side or upside down. You have no pressure and wonât spray. The foam cleaner on kraken is easy to use and works good to clean the gun. I would definitely buy this again. Itâs nice that it comes in individual cans. If you donât use all of the cans. They will still be good. Whereas Froth they say you can reuse an open tank within 30 days and Iâm not sure how good it applies after sitting. I would definitely buy this again. I think it roughly covers what it says. Just know the limitations mainly of waiting a bit for it to set up for the 2nd layer and the angle of the gun. Probably follow others advice and buy more than you need. This 12 pak covered my needs.

Only for walls, careful with the solvent cleaner only use when finished
If youâre trying to do ceilings just forget about it total waste of time and what a mess. Walls were decent but they should include in their instructions that as soon as you use that cleaning solution, like if you want to take a break mid way through, that residue from the solvent will melt the new foam you wish to spray after your break. Itâs kind of a joke. Poor instructions and they lack much if any detail at all. Paid $400 feel like I got $100 worth out of it. Once you use the solvent cleaning spray and put that through the gun you might as well just assume youâll get a centimeter thick of insulation afterwards at best. Onky use solvent cleaner when youâre finished and plan to get it all done in one shot without breaks so it sprays half way decent.

Works decent, but not as much coverage as expected, and the spray gun broken when I went to use the cleaner can.

Take a little time to clean and dampen your application surfaces, it will be worth it!
After a fair amount of research, Kraken seemed to be as good as many others, and better than most. So I took a chance! The kit did include everything needed to do the job I needed to do. I wouldn’t want to do an entire house with it, but doing the masonry walls that sit on top of my 1780 stone foundation was quick and clean.
