Kreg did it again
I love and have always loved Kreg products because they provide a balance of quality, utility, and cost effectiveness that many other companies miss. I have wanted a barrel grip jigsaw for a long time, and when I saw that Kreg released one, I had to have it. I felt like a kid on Christmas opening the box and seeing just how nicely built this thing is. When you hold it, you can tell just how high of a quality tool this is. I tested it out on some construction grade wood as well as on a piece of Ash that I had leftover from a project. I wanted to see how it would cut both soft and one of the hardest woods out there. I set the speed to automatic to also test that feature. With the construction grade wood, it went along at a medium speed and cut through it cleanly. With the Ash it sped up to high but maintained a nice clean cut. What I appreciated the most was the lack of vibration that I felt from the saw. This is a massive upgrade from my previous Ryobi D-grip saw which used to vibrate so much regardless of the species of wood or type of blade that I was using. This is a premium quality saw that is offered at a moderate price – I have zero regrets and know this thing will last me many years to come.
