How many features can you pack into a light strip?!
These little suckers are pretty good, and can get pretty darn bright.They come with an inline controller unit that makes the kit fairly feature-packed. This includes not only the de rigeur multiple brightness levels and preset modes accessible via included remote control, but also the controller unit also has its own freaking wifi and an app, which is kind of nuts. You can just not plug that part in if you just want basic LED lights on blast.The story of this product, however, is in the wifi/app functionality. I was wary of the app control expecting it to be crap like a lot of smart bulbs, but it’s pretty OK. That’s where you can also learn the mysterious preset modes that aren’t listed in the paper instructions although they remain largely mysterious anyway. For what it’s worth, they are:- breathe- step change (a high-mid-low brightness cycle)- rhythm change (seems like breathe 2.0)- leisure (??? medium high ???), night light (low)- good night (??? medium low ???)- read (very high)- work (ever so slightly less than very high)You can also get the strips to work on a schedule you set; you can pick the on/off times and days of the week to operate, and even how long it takes to fade on/off (up to 60 minutes). That actually seems pretty useful, especially if I were running a costume jewelry stand at a Hong Kong night market, or perhaps renovating the stage of a gentlemen’s club. And if that wasn’t enough, you can get the lights to pulse to music: either via microphone or files that are loaded on your phone.It would take a long time to get all that stuff set up, but wow that is a lot of functionality if you want it. Oh and they actually list contact information in London and Germany along with safety certs, so I can’t believe I’m saying this but I trust this random-ass Amazon vendor not to set my house on fire. All six strips plug into the same splitter and they each have about 2 meters (6 feet) of cord, so you could theoretically install these on a staircase or bar shelves.I was simply planning to install these around the exterior of my vehicle and rooftop tent to use as camp lighting, but jeez now I feel like I should open a 24hr karaoke cocktail/sushi bar located under a train station staffed entirely by bipedal robots.

Ready to install. Easy and straight forward.
Other than the spacing of the LEDs, these are awesome! I will just have to adjust to the slight bright spots if I use them to close to a wall. The lyvare bright and easy to connect. It has the transformer, the remote and the four reels of cable. This should be perfect for the bookcase I want to light up.

Slow shipping and lacking.
These are purely decorative non-functioning for regular use light. And only decorative if it’s indirect. The diffusion is not super great. And overall not very bright. Would not buy for regular lighting needs. They also have a warmer tone.

L’installation est plutôt simple et le pilotage aussi.L’adhésif est de bonne qualité et tient bon après quelques semaines d’installation, rien n’a bougé.J’utilise le même kit dans mon dressing, le rendu est chouette.Intégration Google/Alexa sans difficulté

6 rouleaux de 1m à 3m (selon l’option choisie), reliés à un petit boitier en plastique permettant de les piloter ensemble (compatible alexa mais pas siri). Une alimentation (12V) est fournie, c’est basique mais efficace. L’intensité se règle, la couleur non (blanc chaud). Les rubans de leds sont recoupables. Une petite télécommande permet également de les piloter. L’installation est classique pour des rubans de leds (prévoir des profils pour les intégrer plus facilement / discrètement) selon votre projet. Tout le reste est fourni, c’est déjà pas si mal.

Installé dans ma salle de bain, derrière des meubles ouverts, ce ruban LED transforme totalement lâambiance. Il met parfaitement en valeur les produits posés, donnant une vraie touche glamour, comme dans un salon de beauté.Lâinstallation est vraiment simple. Les six bandes de 0,7 m ont chacune des câbles assez longs, ce qui facilite grandement le positionnement.Lâapplication est intuitive et la connexion avec Alexa fonctionne sans problème, rendant le contrôle encore plus pratique.Parfait pour ajouter une lumière élégante et modulable à moindre effort.

A l’ouverture de la boîte, un premier coup d’oeil à son contenu donne une impression de qualité des différents éléments.Une fois tous les branchements effectués, premiers tests, tout fonctionne, et la télécommande agit également correctement.Notez bien que la lumière produite est douce, de type lumière d’ambiance, si cous souhaitez faire un éclairage, il vaut mieux s’orienter vers un autre produit.Passons à la connexion avec Alexa. Tout d’abord, j’ai testé la connexion avec Tuya… Ãa ne marche évidemment pas, ça aurait été trop simple.Il faut donc commencer par télécharger une application tierce (Surplife) qui pèse dans les 126 Mo. Puis créer un compte, un de plus donc… et ceci sans trop savoir non plus les données que l’application nous pique.Bref… une fois dans l’application, tout fonctionne correctement, il y a moyen de varier l’intensité lumineuse, voire même d’utiliser des modèles prédéfinis de pulsations ou d’éclairage.Petit point rigolo que je n’avais pas remarqué dans la description du produit, la fonction musique : il y a moyen de faire réagir les bandes LED à de la musique… Bon, soyons honnête, en terme de réactions, elles vivent un peu leur vie, ou alors elles réagissent avec retard à la musique, et donc sont en total décalage :D.Enfin, au moment de connecter Alexa, rien à faire. Méthode principale par Alexa : échec, méthode secondaire de secours par l’application Surplife : échec.Motif : Association de compte impossible, votre appareil doit avoir Android 12 ou plus pour pouvoir faire l’association de comptes (il n’y a pourtant pas de problème avec Tuya!). Ceci n’était précisé nulle part, bien que je soupçonne que le problème soit plutôt lié à Alexa…Donc si vous avez un téléphone qui date un peu, passez également votre chemin.Pour finir, durant le temps un peu long de ces manipulations, je me suis rendu compte que le transformateur émettait un sifflement léger, et je sais que ce type de problème n’est pas très encourageant, pour l’avoir déjà vécu avec un éclairage d’aquarium. Sans être électricien, ce que j’en avais lu à l’époque disait que cela représentait un vrai problème de sécurité.Et pour conclure, quand j’ai débranché l’appareil, le transformateur était bouillant.Je suis relativement de bonne humeur ce soir, alors je vais mettre deux étoiles, mais je pense qu’il vaut mieux se tourner vers un autre produit… entre les limitations logicielles, et les risques de départ de feu, faites comme bon vous semble, mais en connaissance de cause.
